I didnt put the engineering buffs on all my chars and only stacked it on one, I will experiment with it later and check. There was no dialogue popup asking me to overwrite and the gloves did show +240 armor as well as the pyro rocket, it could be an UI bug but Ill have to verify it later.

If you wanna try it for yourself you can enchant your cloak, reforge it and then apply an engineering buff
