Default Fulmination worth it? pics and recount inside

Dunno how useful this will be, just thought i'd share it so u wont have to /bored to do it youself.
I did 10 fulminations at each "stack" drom 3 up to 9. Damage sure is getting boosted as you go up, but how often will ya run around with 9 stacks in a bg? Or even a Arena i think you will be having trubble to even have lightningshield up.

As i see it fulmination does justify itself even at low stacks (4-5), its like you get another free shock. So ill def spec it and use it for bg's. But as for arenas im not to sure it will be worth even having, as opponents will get the stacks off ya much faster that the chargeup is.

Anyways here's the pics, judge for yourself

    YES!

to be honest, i think blizzard will nerf this, it's too good at the moment (for level 80)

    - super range of shocks 45m
    - unlimited lightningshield (3 stacks with glyph)
    - little mana reg (lightningshield)
    - instant (shocks)
    - good damage (shocks)

I have yet to run a BG with the team, hopefully the patch finishes today while I'm at work.

With Glyph of Chain Lightning though, I think that the Lightning shield should stack up pretty quick, I just need to optimize my buttons a little, since I put earth shock where my frost shock was, and now I'm constantly using fulmination before it charges to full.

Does anyone know if I can make a conditional key that will use earth shock if my lightning shield stacks are over say 7, and use frost shock if not?

No, conditionals in macros for combat is expressly forbidden.

Edit: why aren't you using lava burst at all? Wouldn't putting that in there really show how much percent of our real damage it is?

I only did this to show fulmination damage, and shield only gets charged with LB and CL, thats why
And for the question about the use ES on 7+ stacks: yeah an macro or addon wich triggered this would be nice, but i dont think this can be done with ingame macros. And if you would need an addon that selects wich spells to cast by chosing due to procs, im not sure if thats within the TOS?

Even if...ES is pretty much worth it even if you only have 4 stacks.

Yea, Earth shock with even 1 charge dropping on the victim is still better than Frost for damage sake.

You can use a ui mod that tracks charges and plays a sound when you hit a number of stacks, but it cannot press the button for you.

    Troo dat.

Is there any addon wich tracks partymembers shieldstacks? if so i'd like to have it.
Anyways i've set up powerauras with a kinda flashy animation when i have 9 stacks, so i can easily see my slaves on the other screens. But a Audio warning would be kickass to

Power auras can do ALL of that my friend

In the effects section ,you can select from a list of sound effects to play, or browse for your own sound wave (I might try to get Over 9000 to play )

You can also set power auras to reference a party member, and it has a blank for you to type in their name. I did this on my paladins to track art of war procs, and it works great.
