BWL - Razorgore.

Can someone help me with this?

I'm try to get do this with:

Paladin Tank
2 x shaman elemental
1 x mage arcane
1 x druid healer

for the life of me i cannot get Razorgore down, i have searched and read a few other boxers tactics but i just cannot seem to get the tactic right..

I'm using the put all people in centre of room and heal with druid to get agro. I'm using earth elemental as well to beat up on the adds, but i just get overwhelmed by adds and die, druid takes too much damage and drops and im finding it hard to control razorgore with the mage while trying to aoe adds with group..

any help, hints would be appreciated.. i'm kinda getting a tad frustrated.

I've tried him a few times, and have given up.
The way I see it, you really need at 2nd individual to control him.

I was never able to 5 box it. i ended up 7 boxing.. and had my druid go bear.. i put them all in a corner and would heal for agro and had the bear spam swipe with the group assisting him.. so killing the adds while i ran around with my paly breaking eggs. Since you don't need to do the MC with a tank.. you could use a dps for that and tank/kill adds. Its tricky.. but doable. OR have a friend do MC and you just tank and kill adds. Killing the adds made it possible for me.. i could not just heal thought it before getting overwhelmed by adds.

True. Just cleared BWL. a lock did it for us, he had most haste :P

It should be doabe yeah. Grab 4 boomkins, starfall into win :P If you don't happen to have 4 boomkins, i guess you should mainly focus on killing all the adds, and have second focus on breaking eggs. But i hardly know the tactcs.

I put my tem up onto the platform where the orb is (the controller stands below the platform on the main floor and clicks the orb from there to avoid cleaves) as adds run there first when they spawn. My prot pally gets all teh aggro due to devine plea ticking and healing from shaman totems (yea, you dont need to use your tank to control the orb).

I find it easier to disable key broadcasting to the char controlling the orb as using any abilities will cancel the mind control and with the debuff you get from using the orb this is disasterous.

Then i simply use consecration and magma totems to kill adds (not casters) with fire res aura up, and alt tab (not really, i dont run wow full screen so i click the controller's tab on the task bar to switch) to the controller's screen to destroy an egg every 8 seconds or so.

Just take it slow and steady, if razorgore starts losing hp while you are controlling him, you can move him to near your group and heal him.

I kill the eggs furthest away from me first (where razorgore starts) then after the first MC drops i kill the eggs closest to me, then all the eggs in the middle last.

These days though I just bring a friend along to control him while i kill everythig for 8 mins as it is a lot easier and no point stressing over the encounter by myself lol.

I do run a mixed group of :

Paladin Tank
Disc Priest
Moonkin
Arcane Mage
Elemental Shaman

I guess; my tactic might work for you as it is centered around the paladin tank...

First of all do not cast or use any group buff, helpful spell, totem or utility while entering the fight as i find them to be effecting the initial aggro which is extremely important.

Stand in the centre of the room with your group. Paladin should have retribution aura.

Pull the controller from range with Avenger's Shield and run to the orb with the mage. Other slaves should do nothing at this stage. Kill the controller group only with your basic tanking rotation. This is because adds may come before u kill the controller group and may put your other toons on aggro list if they do something.

When adds start to come switch to a steady heal rotation with paladin healing himself. Mine is :

/castsequence Holy Light, Holy Light, Holy Light,Flash of Light

With this rotation going on, mobs will start to come to your tank. Other toons still should do nothing.

When you see that there are enough mobs for your talent to generate enough mana through blocks, dodges etc. switch to casting only Flash of Light. Cast it for a couple of times while other toons still doing nothing.

Once you see the room is getting overcrowded, your other toons should start to heal themselves also with very basic spells. At this stage most of the 52 adds will be on your tank and with the help of the aura nothing u can do can pull the the aggro of him. There may still be 10 to 20 mobs on their way but their damage cannot harm your slaves much. So it doesn' t matter if they aggro your self-healing toons, as they will spread aggro for a while if not aggroed by the tank...

Strating self heals on other toons is for; generating immideate aggro on incoming mobs, minimizing the risk on your mage controller. Also for absorbing any incoming direct aggro damage or cleave attacks...

At this stage; your tank's Flash of Light will not keep him up and you ll see his hp going down for a medium speed. You may want to cast extra heals on him from your healer time to time to keep him at %100...

During any stage of the fight if you find one of your slaves to be taking heavy damage and not keeping up with it (meaning over aggro leading to a wipe) you can use Hand of Salvation, Hand of Protection on him, or a more quick way casting Lay on Hands on your paladin for immideate 40k+ heal to get in front him on the aggro list... If you are late doing this ret aura will make it impossibble for you to pull enough mobs of the toon which will lead to a wipe...

If you do this right; you will never have to bother even for checking up on your toons and can focus your mage controller for the entire fight. Personally i never had any issues with this tactic once i discovered it and there is no reason for you to have problems with it...

After the removal of the cleansing totem, Chromaggus fight is very very hard now...

As i posted above, i do run a mixed group of :

Disc Priest
Balance Druid
Arcane Mage
Elemental Shaman

Paladin Tank is very weak at this fight for threat generation. Before the patch; cleansing totem was helping for you to keep your focus on threat and dps. It was taking long but with no real problems.

But now; whatever i did was not enough.

I created macros for mass dispelling with every character which enabled me to dispel any debuff the boss lands within seconds. But with the paladin being nearly useless; keeping track with threat for short dps opportunities while at the same time monitoring and removing the debuffs was too much for me.

Well it was not really too much but paladin's threat generation was not allowing me to dps for longer durations. I even tried holding aggro with paladin self healing. It was better than tanking rotation but not enough to shorten the length of the fight for a significant amount.

So no matter what i do; priest and druid was going oom at some stage of the fight because of heavy dispelling costs even with innervate, hymn,shadow fiend and mana pots...This; always led to a mutation and therefore a wipe. The least i could get him was 520k hp.

I really don' t know how many times i tried and wiped; countless times...

At some point; i have decided to bring my Dk tank which i don't realy use.

He was not ready after the patch. So I quickly glyped, respecced and got him to dungeon. Also as i don't play with him much he didin't have any macros. But i was too tired and pissed to set him up and do a proper fight. Instead i' ve setup my toons so that; whatever i do with the dk, my toons would execute their sequence...

What i did was to start a quick fight to wipe the group, aiming only Dk to be alive killing the mutated toons with him. After i did so i continued the fight with only Dk alive, until Chromaggus gets vulnerable to Arcane. This required Dk to be mutated 2 times about just over 10 minutes. When i saw the debuff, i quickly changed stance and let my Dk die fast...

After this; i ressed with shaman and got the group ready. Stacked the group directly facing Chromaggus with Dk in it. I' ve put PW:Shield on all toons and landed a PW: Barrrier. Also switched the druid to lunar phase. Popped up Bloodlust and any damaging and threat reducing cooldown availbale...

I pulled with double Icy Touch, reset and double icy touch again followed by Hs' s and DRW when available. After that i pressed any ability i see available. Priest was spamming Prayer of Healing, rest was going all out...

The fight lasted 38 seconds. Mage ended up 35k dps with over 160k AB crits, druid was just over 10k(bad gear), shaman was around 3-4k ish as only for the last couple of seconds the boss was vulnarable to nature, priest and dk(i have given the priority to threat generation rather than dmg) was under 1k... No one died, noone mutated. I only had to mass dispel with priest once, just to make sure noone gets mutated near the end of the fight.

It was fun and hilarious, felt like playing quake with the crazy buff...

Now; i am sure i can do it the normal way with the Dk, as he' s capable of holding aggro for this fight but i don't really like to play with him. I also don't like the idea of switching toons just to progress through an instance. So i would like to know if you have any new ideas or tactics to kill Chromaggus with a paladin tank.
