Default Just ordered an Alienware M15x :)

    Intel® Core™ i7 740QM Quad Core Processor
    2.93GHz, 1GB ATI HD 5850 MOBILITY RADEON
    15.6-inch WideFHD 1920x1080 (1080p) WLED
    8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz

Getting that beast in 2 weeks! Got it on eBay for $2,170 including shipping because for some reason Alienware in Hong Kong sells for nearly double the American price even though the factory is located 50km away from here and there are no import duties and sale taxes in HK. This is my first time buying a decent computer, I can't wait to try out that thing!

Decent PC but it's $1750 on Dell (creator of alienware) website. Is the Ebay seller just buying them and reselling?

Sad thing is you can put it together yourself (which a neanderthal can learn to do) for a fraction of the cost. Alienware is as overpriced as Mac.

päws: Yes I just bought them from a reseller since Dell USA doesn't ship abroad. The WideFHD display costs another $100 and the shipping fee is $120 so I basically paid a $200 premium for it. The reseller is a platinum powerseller so I know I will get what I paid for. The same model in Hong Kong costs almost US$3,000! I'd rather let a scalper make a few bucks than to be ripped off by Dell HK.

EaTCarbS: The M15x is a laptop, not a desktop. Plus there are weekly LAN parties in my campus and there is nothing that beats the look of an Alienware

Not likely since it's a laptop?

    I disagree.

SFF case with innards better than your laptop + eyefinity setup > your laptop.

Sounds like a nice laptop, I've had my eye on that one too.

Stop crapping on ppl's thread, only retards like you would try to pack a SQUARE SFF and a monitor into a bookbag.

To the OP, grats on purchase, try not to burn your lap

    Lighten up.

That is what I was disagreeing with, sheesh. It is far from feasible to transport an eyefinity setup to lans on a regular basis.

    Stop crapping on people's posts.

Haha I love it when someone posts that they like xxx brand and there is always someone who can't help themselves in posting their superior choice. Then they get defensive when people point it out. Lol.
