Thread: lag

    Default lag

Anyone getting alot of lag since the patch? I'm running now at about 30ish FPS whereas prior to the patch I was getting about 60. I dropped off shadows and sunbeams on video whiched helped alittle on the fps, but it's struggling abit. I'm hoping it's just hiccups from the patch rather than the card struggling.

mmm lag and fps are 2 different things.
If its fps issues drop all video settings down to low and see if there's an improvement.
Or try just one window and check fps

The water detail feature drags my system down too. Make sure to set this to low.

Don't forget to clear your cache files in wow. Helps a lot too. Was almost a requirement on the ptr.

I'm wondering this myself. I've never heard of having to do this for smoother gameplay.

Good point......I'm suffering w/ both lol. Lags mostly with spell cating and larger groups, and especially with looting.

But dropping down video settings one notch helped some, but it seems to reset itslef higher everytime I log in.

*I am sure there are easier ways to do this* In your WoW directory browse to \Cache\WDB\enUS and just delete everything in that folder. Then open the game. The first time you log in, it may take longer to load all of the textures, but after that it seems to be faster for me.
