Will TOLL Couriers deliver to your island of love and lunary? =)

If so I might be able to help you out I live in Melbourne.
I dont see a legal issue in providing you the game client files as its for a product you already own that can be aquired by Digital means anyway.

Have you looked into Satellite Internet btw? Slow upload speed but fast download. Probably gonna want to own your place because installing a dish isnt' cheap.

Well it seems more of a feat to get any information after I send a PM.

Just send me a PM if you are interested in getting something sorted out, but to everyone please do not send anything before I can confirm everything.

I am waiting on 1-2 people to respond to my PM's.

Slats, I also sent you a PM.

    • Paying someone for the distribution of software seems to be illegal in my book.
    • Providing someone with the tools to make you a copy is not illegal in my book (i.e. send him the usb stick / dvd with enough stamps included).
    • Covering the expenses for the tools to make you a copy ain't illegal either in my book (i.e. you pay him the price of a usb stick + the stamps).
    • Paying/tip someone for the effort to make you a copy (i.e. walk to the post office, inserting the dvd, click copy, etc) seems to be illegal in my book.

Pretty weird maybe, but imo you can cover someones costs, but can't pay for his effort. That aside, I think you have a genuine case, and if you can't order the patch on DVD directly from blizzard, I think there is little problem to do it this way.

    My 2 cents.
Yet we pay labour costs for people to build/install software and/or other random stuff around the house that comes from another company all the time.

Software distribution (selling, renting, ...) is most often covered in a different manner in the license than offering services (installing, troubleshouting, maintenance, ...). That being said, I've seen a good amount of proprietary software that limits the service providing to partners only. But then again, software licensing is quite obscure anyways. In this case I just outlined what I though would be legal/illegal, not so much my 'ideals' . The reality is that it's pretty harmless to burn the patch on a disc and send it to the OP, if I was an aussie I'd be happy to help him out.

You can install WoW on any computer from any CD/DvD. You can even download the installer. Blizzard licenses accounts and the "CD key" only adds a license to your WoW account. It doesn't not license your PC or installation at all.

So I see no problems in getting the patch from a friend on a dvd
