I think it's a matter of personal preference. Whenever I tried to configure pitbull the default settings where either butt ugly, hurting my eyes, yelling at me or I got overwhelmed by the settings. If you are looking for a specific functionality, pitbull, x-perl and SUF might differ, but overall they do more or less the same. Over the course of a , lets say year, using it, I think it's matter of what you are used to.

First time I fired up SUF it felt very intuitive to me, and I was up & ready within minutes. Hence why I like to stick to it, the more cause the memory load seems to be very low. But then again, it's the same discussion as healbot vs grid vs vuhdo.
