Leveling Inscription in 4.01

Hey guys, I'm a long time lurker but thought I'd post about getting extra skill ups when I was leveling my inscription. I was unaware of the change, but it seems that some glyph recipes give you +3 when orange. At first I thought this was great until I read that the glyphs now require three inks instead of one to create, so the total mats to level probably end up similar. Still it meant I had pay more attention to what I was making, especially since buying extra herbs to mill is crazy expensive, plus all the 1-450 guides are pretty much obsolete now. I'm not sure if this applies to other professions but might be worth checking out.

Yes, this is a change that Blizzard said was coming. If the mats even out that's great and is working as intended. Prior to this they didn't even out and crafting an epic item for 1 skill level was bullshit compared to crafting a green item for that same level and less required mats.

Anyone know if they added any new glyphs with the patch? I haven't had a chance to take a look yet.

Yes they have, as far as I can tell. My Inscriptionist had several new glyphs available for training.

1 glyph was added to Northrend Research, 1 added to Book of Glyph Mastery, and the rest on the trainer. So if you had everything researched before that's all you need to learn now to have them all again.

Except that you can't learn Glyph of Vanish at all, it's missing.
