Since your button one, is Mutilate and nothing else in the castsequence, it is no different from:

/cast Mutilate
/cast Cold Blood
/Startattack

Cold Blood still fires off, on every cooldown.
And whether the top macro resets or not, it fires off Mutilate on every press aside from when CB fires off.

i know this, but i sometimes use long cooldowns in the macros... so I need a fall through setup that is reliable.
Skills off the GCD like cold blood will fire the way you have it as will vendetta.

There is no dps gain or loss because of the way energy works... the biggest dps loss with this 2 button setup is spamming too fast. If you spam too fast you are just stringing together low combo point finishers....
To resolve this do not spec into ruthlessness.

I was getting more dps with expertise/hit capped rogue using 1 button dps, but in the event I didn't have combo points I'd get hung up once in awhile. The 2 button dps without ruthlessness almost performs as well as the 1 button, and does not get stuck ever.


Was doing some testing of where to put backstab in the rotation for boss fights for higher dps, but this 2 button setup im still getting decent #'s. Was testing a combat setup and find it pretty easy to macro as well.
