New Shaman ele dps macro!

Forgive me, I read this whole thread twice but I'm not really following the change to macro function and how it effects casting exactly. It looks to me like the same thing I've been using with my druid tank macro that looked something like this (from memory, not exact!)

/castsequence reset=combat Mangle, Lacerate, Lacerate
/castrandom Maul

Maul's functionality changed completely with 4.01 and is no longer an "on next swing attack" operating as a toggle on/off. Maul will never fire in your macros case as, since these are all melee abilities and instant, the GCD will be triggered after your castsequence and the castrandom will never be allowed to process.

Maul is just a standard fill in your rotation now along with Pulverize and Swipe.

The only one I feel is going to be a real pain is my boomkin.

Boomkin isn't too bad at all - though I admit I haven't been able to find a way to use Sunfire when in a solar eclipse state without running into the potential of hanging up a macro. I may end up specing out of it.

Button 1 - Bar 1
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Insect Swarm, Moonfire, Starfire, Starfire, Starfire, Starfire
/cast Starsurge

Button 2 - Bar 1
/changeactionbar 2

Button 1 - Bar 2
/castsqeuence [nochanneling] reset=combat Insect Swarm, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath
/cast Starsurge

Button 2- Bar 2
/changeactionbar 1

The only addition is the bar switch when you hit at eclipse state. Switch bars and then continue mashing your first button. You'll cast Starsurge every time it's up, and take advantage of the Shooting Stars procs.
