    Default Justice Point rewards announced

here it is, i'll leave it to you guys to tell me exactly how many dungeons/ heroics/ etc it will take to gear up in cata :P

Although we’ve revealed some details of the conversion process (https://forums.wow-europe.com/thread...74620794&sid=1), many of you have asked how many Justice and Valor Points bosses and daily dungeons will actually award. This list is incomplete, and the values may still change, but it covers the majority of the content we’ve been asked about.

    • Lich King Heroic dungeon boss -- 16 Justice Points
    • Lich King daily normal dungeon -- 12 Justice Points
    • Lich King daily Heroic dungeon -- 23 Justice Points
    • Lich King raid boss -- 23 Justice Points

    • Cataclysm Heroic dungeon boss -- 75 Justice Points
    • Cataclysm daily normal dungeon -- 75 Justice Points
    • Cataclysm daily Heroic dungeon -- 75 Valor Points
    • Cataclysm 10-player raid boss -- 75 Valor Points
    • Cataclysm 25-player raid boss -- 105 Valor Points

It’s important to note that once you outgrow content, by leveling past it by a predetermined amount, you’ll no longer gain points. The ‘outgrown’ level for end-game Wrath of the Lich King content is likely to be level 81. Once you level beyond Lich King content you’ll still be able to enter the dungeons, kill bosses, and see their drops, but they will not award you with points. This same principle applies to all content that provides Justice Points, including content from The Burning Crusade.

So would it be feasible to lock your xp while still lvl 80, then continue to run LK instances until you had as many points as you needed to gear up when you hit 85, then turn xp gains back on? Probably be easier and quicker than learning new dungeons in out of date gear at lvl 85. Yet another use for Garfrost. (Assuming points are distributed on a per boss kill basis)

Or you could keep your XP unlocked and gain XP in those same LK Heroics to help you along the way towards 85.

But once you hit 81 you stop getting justice points for LK content

I see... reading the entire post FTW. Lock yourself just before you hit 81, I guess? 80 to 85 is going to take as long as 70 - 80 did, so I guess however long it takes to level from 70 - 72 is how long it will take to hit 81. If someone wants to do the math on approximately how many instance runs that takes [without rested] and then multiply that by the values above to hit the cap.

ATM 80-81 is about 1.68m xp (or just over 79-80 requirement)....took my t9 geared paladin about 5 hours to go from 80-81 in Mt Hyjal with about 15% rested xp initially banked from 2 years of being level 80

I do agree though, hititng up starter zones like Hyjal and leveling till just before 81 to get some of the new gear and then locking xp and grinding LK heroics is a good option.

Save your 4k JP before cata, go buy 2 peices of JP gear right away (won't be useable until 85 but still), get to level 80.9 in Hyjal, lock xp, grind 4k JP in LK Heroics, buy JP gear, repeat until you have all JP gear you need then go back to Hyjal seems the best leveling flow atm based on this data

    [EDIT]
At 16JP per boss it will take 250 bosses to hit the 4k cap (not counting the extra 23 for the daily). H LK instances have an average of ~5 bosses so looking at roughly 50 instances to cap yourself in JP each time you start from 0 balance

I'm surprised that don't give you any JP for normal cat dungeons. I guess they don't want you farming them...

I thought I read that you cannot purchase an item with points that you dont meet the minimum requirements to wear. IE, you cant by the lvl 85 gear till you hit 85. That means you will have 2 pieces to buy right when you hit 85, then you have to start the grind for more points.
