Default Question regarding Round robin setup

To all the veteran isboxer users:

I have a question regarding setting up round robin using one key for multiple teams.
Say I have bound the Home key and I have copied from the FTL (1 to =) as the setup.

For my five locks team, i drag the deathcoil spell and placed in the Home key, each of my lock would do the lolcoil as I press the home key. Not a problem for me. But inthe setup, i had to assigned each lock toon specific name to step 1 to 5, lock1 = 1, lock2 =2, and so on.

My question is if I set up a mage team, and use the same home key for sheeping. Is there a simple way to do this with either:
    a) using the slot1 to slot5, instead of the indivdual toon name. so both locks and mages would lolcoil/sheep when i press the home key? Instead of assigning lock1 toon to step 1, lock2 to step 2, i have assigned slot1 to lock1 and slot 2 to lock2, and same for the mage team, slot1 = mage1 and slot2 = mage2 (of course, the deathcoil spell for the home key for locks, the sheep spell for mages drag into that key)

    b) setup 10 steps, the first five for locks and 6- 10 for mages. I am hoping if I log on the mage team, it would also work.

My current setup is home key for locks and End key for sheeping. Running out/or forget which key is for what and I get in trouble with team when i am being ganked. you know, OMG, lvl 80 with icc gears is trying to gank my lvl70s, panic panic...

Thank you for the comments and input

You can use a Slot as the target, just as easily as a character. If you want to have your CC effect, or AoE effect on the same key for multiple teams, then this is a decent approach.

If you go with a 10 step mapped key, then five of the presses will do nothing. I probably would not go this route, myself.

You can also create a Key Map for each of your character sets. Go with something like: General, FTL DPS and Control for all teams/character sets. But then also go with a Mage Keymap and a Warlock Keymap. Then assign the Keymap to a given team, so when you load that team, you get their Keymap and all of the mapped keys contained therein, in addition to the Keymaps that apply to all teams. I've got a Keymap specific to a few of my teams.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

    Combined multi-class attack macro

I made up different attacks, you'd probably want your own !if (character is in "shamans") /cast Lightning Bolt!elseif (character is in "deathknights") /startattack!also /cast Icy Touch!elseif (character is in "paladins") /startattack!elseif (character is in "rogues") /startattack!also /cast Sinister Strike!elseif (character is in "druids") /cast WrathThis will resolve to the following
    • shamans
    /cast Lightning Bolt
    • deathknights
    /startattack/cast Icy Touch
    • paladins
    /startattack
    • rogues
    /startattack/cast Sinister Strike
    • druids
    /cast Wrath
