    Default Horrific Arena Lag

Pretty new to queuing for my 5 losses, but I did a few weeks on another team with my exact same hardware/internet connection. Found something new tonight that I wanted to make sure wasn't anything I could have controlled.

My lag with all five toons (Just in the arena mind you) had to be in the 2 to 3 second range. LIterally frozen screen type lag.

I would have lost the matches I did I'm sure, but really sucked to not even be able to control my toons.

Is this anything folks have run into and if so is there anything to be done about it?

    Thanks.

well. gotta be clear on which type of lag you are talking about.

Is it frame rate lag, where your machine hardware lags out. Or it is just action delay as Internet connection lags out. Were you getting red/yellow connection ping on all WOW clients ?

If the screen is frozen (stopped refreshing and updating), that's probably hardware lag. Your hardware not fast enough? not enough ram, some anti virus (or other software) kicked off some background process that take up your resource.

If your action just got delayed, that would be the connection lag. In that case, you want to check your connection (ping, check router etc).

I'm about 99% sure it was connection lag. My latency spiked to 1k. The delay between issuing a command to a slave and seeing it transpire was close to 2+ seconds.

Once back in the regular realm world, the lag returned to normal and latency went back to my usual double digit numbers.
