For what it's worth, the LUI author (according to the forums I visited) said he will have an update to his 3.x UI version for the 4.0 WoW patch. It is the 4.0 version of LUI that may take quite a while to develop.

All addon and UI have to be updatet for the new patch - LUI 3.0 is working fine now and sure will after the patch - LUI 4 are just making everything better and more fexibel.

I will be I dont see the point in learning what is going to be a brand new game without learning the default UI along with it. just makes sence.

Ended up using nUI and I like it a lot. I didn't care for the look of LUI.
