I'm glad that all of you are having it so easy with Coren. This is my first time 4-boxing a lvl 80 boss and he's killing me. After the first wipe, I read up on him. Next time round, I tried to focus on his elite adds so my tank wouldn't get kegged and they seemed to keep re-spawning. I think I killed each one 2-3 times before we all wiped again. Anyone else seen this? I have tried to just burn Coren down, but I can't seem to do so without my tank getting kegged and then wiping. Any suggestions? And no, I can't run 5. 4 is max possible with the hardware I'm using. As for gear, I've got the best crafted stuff avail for each toon.

yeah we tend to forget that he is easy because we got gear that surpas him by a mile.

If its only the tank that get kegged you can either make a macro to use the keg or have backpack open and destroy it when it lands. the first one dont get you kegged. its the 2nd that does the harm. Dont waste time on any adds. Focus on him and watch out for the kegs. Just AoE with tank to keep focus from your little helpers. And I spread mine out a bit so only one gets hit when a tunnel machine drills through the floor

And if your tank is not yet geared good enough move out when he does the whirlwind.

    Hope this help

What kind of dps are you pulling? From the sound of it, you should have no problem just burst him down.

I have no problem 3 man him (carrying 2 lvl40s through), I'm only heroic/badge geared (ie 219/232), typically downing him around 25sec (15-18sec with 5 lvl80s, best record is 11sec with bloodlust).

What classes are you trying to 4-box him with? How much DPS are your DPS guys putting out?

I just ran it with my druid tank/3x sham/hunter off group, the highest of which is about 3200 gearscore (all blues or i200 crafted epics). They only keg one of my guys about once every 3rd or 4th run. Curious if you're still having problems.

Default Use caution when buying items

OK. Buying tons of Pint-Sized Pink Pachyderms and Brewfest Ponykegs across my characters. I just finished explaining to my buddy about how the pet was not unique and can't be sold back and that the keg was unique... so the proper buying order for safety is keg first then pet.

Then I promptly went to buy a pet and mis-clicked on it, buying two of them. Waiting on a GM to see if I can be saved from my mistake.

The pet is not unique... You can drain all of your tokens with a couple mis-right clicks.

Default Horde Ram Race is way broken

So, in trying to fix my blunder myself by trying to squeeze in some extra ram races, I'm reminded of how utterly screwed the Horde are when it comes to their ram race.

On the alliance side, the best time is around 38 or 39 seconds for a round trip. A perfect run can net 40 tokens, or perhaps a couple more. If you miss a checkpoint because of lag or whatever, even miss two of them... you can still come away with 30 tokens.

The horde ram race is straighter, but is also longer. My round trip time seems to be 44 to 45 seconds. That extra 5 seconds adds up in to way fewer trips and way fewer tokens yielded. Numbers like 15 to 20, with lag and unresponsive keg handlers (described next).

Additionally, the alliance side has prominent landmarks that allow you to gauge your turns. Turn around just inside the outer banner pole, and you are guaranteed to hand the keg off. Turn around at the guard before the keg thrower and you will receive a keg.

On the horde side, there are very subtle marks, nothing close to a pole or a person to turn around at. Also, I've run directly over the keg receiver and not tossed my keg. In fact one time I ran tight circles around the receiver and made it around him 3 times before the keg left.

For my problem at hand, I'm trying to get another 100 tokens. I'm at 25 after this last race (gained 16), and I have 2 sets of dailies remaining, which will get me to 75. Looks like I have one more race available, so if I can get 25 tokens, I'm safe even if the GM can't replace the item.... but so far I've gotten no wehre close to 25 toeksn on the horde ram race this week.
