Badges - Buy Gems or Save for conversion?

I imagine you will be able to hit the cap leveling to 85 =p. Between battlegrounds, daily dungeons and other stuff.

Get gold it will be helpful when cata hits.

I was converting badges to gems months ago. Seemed like a better idea than letting them rot. Even now, I'm not sure whether it makes a great deal of difference if you bank them for points or convert them to cash, since the rate of accrual isn't known, and there may be a step of inflation come cataclysm that minimizes the points you tried to save for new gear. Of course, its not like gold is worth that much either.
