Default How do you guys play ingame

Kind of weird title, but I will try to explain myself.

Main reason I really want to try dual boxing is 1. levelling alts and 2. pvp. How I do this now, is running 2 windowed versions of WoW. Which obviously isn't the best or easiest way (to say the least easiest way hehe). But still it works if only i keep my second char on follow, and it doesnt have to do anything. One thing thats really a crime is doing quests on box 1 and box 2 simulteanously. Its a crime alt tabbing, accepting etc. How do you guys handle the chars ingame. I was really wondering about how you guys do it .

Clicking on quests is quite tedious but I just dealt with it and grinded from 40-60 mostly. There is a script / macro that is built into the functionality, unsure of exactly what it is but allows you to select / accept the first option from any npc.

As for following the 'main' it is the best method, allows you to focus more on actions instead of guiding to locations.

I'm trying to level a 2nd mage to dual box, but right now I'm leveling it by itself.

Should I use my 60 mage to run her through quests/instances?

Also, thanks for the site Ellay, it's pretty nice of you to put together all these resources for those of us who were interested in dual boxing, but had no clue where to being.

Very nice site Ellay. It's actually nice to be able to have a place to come talk to other people who can wrap their heads around this sort of activity.

Anyway, to Caggah, I would suggest soloing your second mage, while keeping your 60 on stand by to handle the more difficult encounters, such as elite quests, or instance quests. It makes grinding to upper 40's go much faster, and helps you clear zones of quests because you don't have to leave and come back when a quest becomes more manageable.

My new project is 5 characters at the same time 1-70 doing all 1-5 man content without ever having to take a PUG.

wauw ambitious effort im trying to level a druid and a priest together right now. But a bit scared of using the autohotkey program because of fear of being banned. Trying to get some information out of gm's but i guess that they wont answer

I sent in a ticket regarding autohotkey asking specifically if something like this was banable, and receieved a canned response that essentially was useless.

That being said, I've been running autohotkey for a while now at the same time I play WoW, simply to allow me to control iTunes without having to alt-tab out of WoW. There are so many non-WoW uses for the program that even if Blizzard considered it "bad" 3rd party software, they couldn't go banning people for using it anyway.

Why not, you dont get a trial, if they say (to some level ofc) you are botting, who;s gonna stop them? How would you respond and react. Think im gonna make my setup using 2 pc's and multiple wireless transmitters.

I don't necessarily think they would ban Auto-Hotkey users but rather people who are playing WoW while it's in the background. Playing WoW without it being the active application indicates you aren't really playing WoW, instead you are doing something else and not watching the game.
