    Yay.

    further progress.

I got Instant Swap working now and get 60fps.

What I did was move my ATI cards over to different slots. I had then in slots 2,3,4 and was thinking maybe that causes issues.

So I moved them to 1,2,3 and everything seems normal now.

the only thing bottlenecking now is hard drive access. rejoice.

but seems my main ATI card still does most of the work which I cant figure out

thanks for all the help. i hope it stays stable.

An SSD (and you can get one sufficient for this for around $100) will cure your hard drive problems. My system - as I said way way less powerful than yours - can load 5 players in Dalaran at prime time in a total of 3-5 seconds when I have the group hearth.

No idea about your video cards... Is it possible to manually configure an install to say "Use card 1" and then make multiple copies of the install, telling those to use different cards? Or does the system usually automagically spread the load over multiple cards, just not with WoW or ISBoxer?

I think IsBoxer is preventing the display being shared over the cards.

When I tried loading 5 copies of WoW it worked differently much faster.

    i ordered 2 64GB Crucial C300 SSD drives.

    waiting for them
i was looking at the PCI Express SSD drive but 2 64GB SSD C300 are faster.

I believe this 64GB version of the C300 has issues with write speed, around 2-4x slower than comparable disks. The read speed is quite good though, if you have a 6gb/sec SATA port.

    Holy Crap. 2-4x Slower

I read reading reviews on Anandtech and Tomshardware. they mention its best selection right now.

    i hope its not crap!

I bought two so i'll get 650MB/s thruput

    I got 2 6Gb ports.

Obvious question but, are you sure your motherboard supports all 3 of those cards?

Most motherboards and even gaming motherboards will support one x16 PCIe slot and adding more cards either causes the main slot to degrade (i.e. instead of x16, you'd have x8 + x8). With 3 cards, it may be trying to segment out the bandwidth funky. Seeing that you are only seeing <10% output from the two additional cards that would about make sense. Also saying that you moved the slots around and noticed a difference could be the giveaway. Slot 1 is usually the primary 16x slot and the remainder might even be restricted to a x4 or x8.

Also, another obvious question, you didn't buy a cheap power supply right? Some of them, the wattage they say they are putting out isn't even close to what's actually coming out. The other issue is that crappy ones degrade over time (some faster than others). This can lead to power management issues with specific hardware that uses a lot of power (i.e. video cards).

I would try taking one card out and seeing if the performance increases.

Its an Asus Rampage III. Allows 4 video cards.

Maybe ill try removing a card since both cards will run at 16Ex maybe I'll get better performance. Or I can run CrossFire with 2 GPUs and 1 GPU Solo.

It allows up to 4 cards. all ports do not run at 16 X. My cards are running at 16,8,8

Im using Enermax powersupply 900 Watts. Its rated Gold for 80Plus.
