I have my own guild for alts but I have quite a few toons in the guild I have been in for the last 4 years. When Cata arrives, most of my toons will be joining my 'main' guild to aid guild levelling, with just a few toons I don't really play in alt bank guilds.

I don't really raid much, not seen anything since Naxx really, but that's due to play time restrictions. But come Cata I will be stepping up the raiding quite a bit. I will raid solo until I know the encounters then slowly add more toons as and when required.

My 'main' guild is pretty relaxed about me boxing, they all know me and think i'm a bit mad but there was much exctiement when I brought my pally & 4 shammy's to kill one of the outdoor dragon raid bosses.

All in all, if you find a nice guild that you get on well with, and you're a reasonable player who causes no problems then multiboxing will be accepted, if not then the guild isn't for you!

I run on two different servers right now, as a multiboxer, and here is my break down.

2 guild banks with at least one toon on each account with access.

on Gul'dan, Team one in El Diablo Team Two in Knights of the Griffon.

On Sen'Jin , I have one toon, with my team being leveled. Once there, The team will join the Guild.

I started off, not only for the challenge, But for when Raiders where few and far between, I was able fill in up to 6 spots if needed.

I've spent 9 days /played on my first team I think, and they are sitting at around 77-78. A fair bit of that was idle or learning boxing, messing with various things getting things setup right. I would expect other teams to be a lot faster.

Few things that make it go faster.. or would have
-having 80's on the accounts already so you could...
    -BOA's for the + 20 % exp
-Cold weather flying by the BOA
-Boosting (after level 60 if you want to do boosting you may need a 80 tank? instead of a mage) maybe get a bit further than that with the mage?

I decided to get my first team to 80, get some cloth BOA's for the exp so I can use them on the other teams and then boost (with the new 80 pally tank). I have abount a month left on RAF and would like to boost a few teams to 60. If I'm not over it by then I may do more teams. From there my plan is to boost the teams slowly up with rested exp. Level alchemy on a team when they hit 68 (required for the transmutes) and probably JC and start doing the dailys on them since I expect to be able to get them the BOA cold weather flying by then.

BG's are brilliant for leveling... if your winning... if your new to boxing you may find.... combined with not having BOA's etc? I'm not sure. I haven't tried to do many BG's as yet. I gather that a lot of people are getting used to boxers going into BG's so are slowly getting used to it and making it hard for them. I've heard a few people bragging how they owned some newbie boxers trying to BG.

4 days of /played as your expecting to be your max time per team is probably most people's best sorta time frame or what they do after being really experienced.

I don't mean to be all doom and gloom, it's all doable. and it just gets easier as you spend more time at it. I'm not sure how much boxing you have done so far.

And most important, don't forget to load up the Guild2Guild addon. As long as one of you toons is logged into each guild's chat you won't miss anything, regardless of which toon you have in the 'lead' at the time.

Each of my toons has all bank slots with Frostweave bags - so far it is puhlenty of space without needing to make my own GBANK. If I need that, I'll make an alt-guild or 3 and have slots there with my next team. Really, though, I'm not much of a packrat - I sell everything as soon as I get it

Pretty bog standard protection paladin + 3 elemental shaman + 1 resto shaman.

Paladin has mining and skinning (money, but also extra stamina & crit which can't hurt a tank), all shammies are tailors, with the resto being an enchanter also, to make more cash.
