Do all 5 man multiboxers run their own guild so they get access to banks?
If you are a multi boxer, does this mean that most guilds won't "touch" you, because I would still like to be able to do raids with my main team.

I'm going to have at least 6 teams.
I am just in the same guild that I was as a single boxer. I have been in this guild since we started doing MC so everyone knows who I am and doesn't really care if I am playing 1 or 5 toons. Saying that, it is not really a very active guild any more.
I would say on averag, most boxers run their own guild as Gbank access is very handy, but there are quite a few who are still active in larger guilds.
I wouldn't say that other guilds wouldn't touch you as a boxer, but if you are applying, I would expect at least some bias due to that fact. If they are a decent guild, they will be trying to find out what sort of player/person you are rather than focussing too much on your toons though and if they flat out refuse because you are a boxer, it is obviously not the sort of guild you want to be a part of anyway.
As to raiding as a boxer, it depends a little on the people you are raiding with. If they have had good experience with boxers before or are fairly open minded, then they should be fine with you as long as you have your shit together for raids. Same rules (if not stricter) apply to boxers raiding. Make sure your gear is chanted and gemmed to the max, you have an effective spec and come to raids fully flasked and potted up. If you are trying out and learning to raid as a boxer, I wouldn't be surprised if a hard core progressive guild wasn't so interested, because your learning curve will in turn slow down overall raid progression. At this end of an Xpac though, most encounters are pretty sorted so if you are well versed on strats and find a group that is willing to learn with you, then joining a good guild will make the game inifinitely more satisfying in the long run.
Cheers
Thanks Noids. Useful post!
i definately don't have my raid strats good. I haven't played since Kara, although I knew it perfectly, the new expansions I haven't touched.
I don't actually know what kind of an impression people will have of me when multiboxing.
I'd like to be able to raid.. only really with my main account though.. (I can't decide which will be my main account though either). How do you decide?
I figure I will have 1 x main, 1x PVP... and then 5 x chaff that I use for dailies and professions?
How you decide who your main is? the one you like the most to play solo with ? :P
For me i have my 3 teams in a alt guild and a "main" in a guild with friends, works good for me atleast..
and a alt guild bank is REALLY nice if you plan on doing any sort of farming or profession lvling..
Multiboxing WoW x 5
Team Ioso 4 warriors 1 paladin
Team Misterioso 4 DKs 1 paladin
Grim Batol
Well my PVP team is going to be 4 Shammy and 1 Pally...
I think thats the best PVP team?..
Then for my main team I will have to see.. what do you guys think? Maybe 5 Druids? The main team I think will be the team that I do everything on for gold farming. I think that makes most sense. Since they will need to be the most pimped to run through heroics on farm quickly.
I have my main toons in a raiding guild, and multibox teams in a guild i made for gbank. gbank is so handy when leveling. Will probably create one or two more as I level other teams up.
A lot of people respect the fact you can multi box, it means generally your very aware of your environment, watching lots of things at once etc.
If you want to get in a good guild you will have to get experience, achievements for doing raids via pugs etc generally and show a really good knowledge of your class.
On the other side of things, you don't need to tell them either.
If your planning on leveling your 5+ teams to 60 and also level a toon to 80 after\during that and gear it up and pug raids to get experience and then join a guild.. you may find Cat is out by then.Well maybe not that bad, but it all takes time. Boosting to 60 doesn't take huge amounts of time. beyond that it takes a bit.
I was expecting 4 days of played time. MAX. I figure that I can do 60-80 in 2 weeks, would you say this is unreasonable?
I'd try and do it over a single weekend in BG though when it is AV.
I hope they don't nerf the XP for AV BG weekends though. Am I being unrealistic.
90 Days of RAF.
6 teams = 15 days per team. That's GOT to be enough to do my teams right?
Then I was thinking of ONLY doing 60+ once I have got all my teams sorted. I don't want to be leveling higher than 60 until I have all my 60s done.
