That gold guide people wanted... heres most of it

Icecrown Citadel 25 man
This is my bread and butter. "The Damned" are soloable easily on any multi-box team in t9 gear. This means that you can kill about 5-10 mobs before having to reset in the same amount of time as someone who is killing the three and bringing them back to the NPC's. So every 5 mins you can kill about 10 mobs and then reset. You can get upwards to 200 mobs per hour if you are good, and since many BOES have an upwards to 5% chance to drop you can assume you will get one or two... some times more. My best set was 3x wodins, 2x harbringer's band, 1x ring of rotting sinew in a single hour (at 5k, 6k and 3k worth per that netted me 30k total).

I HIGHLY suggest running as a paladin + 4 shaman for this, or bring a healer friend and you can clear a bit more of the trash if you really wanna try (i run with a healer shaman + 4 ret paladins and a dk and can do like 12-13 mobs before resetting in about 5 mins)

Not too sure how you make your pulls, how you are geared or what kind of dps you do. But here is what I just tried.

As you can see from this screenshot I'm sitting at 40k+ raid dps. My 3 shammies pull between 10-14k single target in icc, and with multiple mobs my tank does 6-7k as well. Riptide is enough to keep me up with an occasional healing wave. Now a damned mob has 1.6m hp, with 40k raid dps (which is pretty decent i'd say as a 5boxer) that takes me 40 seconds to kill 1 mob, obviously AOE lowers that, as does bloodlust. That is with using chain lighting whenever available.

So i pulled the first 2 guards and the 3 patrolling at once. Ran back down the stairs to avoid some of the non rep mobs would spawn. When i was done my dps where at 35% mana, so need to drink. Then pulled the left caster + 4 damned mobs with lso (to avoid traps). Same story.

So with running in, running out, killing 10 mobs, the risk that you have to kill a mob that spawns, ... i really don't see how you can kill 9 mobs within 5 minutes with the shammies. Even adding a 4th dps shammy and running with another healer won't change the numbers such.

Maybe i'm missing something though.

I use ret paladins with 2-4 piece tier 10 and a shammy healer friend along with my prot paladin tank just incase (extra life).

Shodokan: I was wondering what you consider the ultimate Heroic farming team to be? or a few options of ones that work really well. Do you think your farming team will change come Cat based on your knowledge of the changes we are expecting?

I gather from a few of your posts you use Ret Palandins a lot.

Obviously any team can do them, some toons are better suited though of course.

Like WoTLK you are going to have to wait at least two raid contents to be able to "farm" heroics. We'll have to wait and see at what point you can just go in and mash button and shit dies, and how much you need to over gear it. for that to happen. I would not really say that rets would be too good at that come cata... but who knows.

Well i have to say thanks for the guide i ran ICC 25 with my t9 geared prot pally and 4 ele shams. healing is intense and i cannot clear the left side cause its a caster+4 melee but i CAN do the whole right side. made me 4k yesterday fom the tank ring. Will be doing alot of this thanks fo the infos

Molten core
All the items for things like thunder fury, also hand of ragnaros... decent coin as well. Can yield about 500 gold per reset or whatever. If you don't know why this place is good... look up some of the "resell in cataclysm" guides.

Blackwing lair
This is soloable... this is mainly for elementium ore. Can yield A LOT of gold if you are lucky. Good thing to do once a week.

This strategy is not a good way to make gold.

I tried it last night and got both bindings, so I couldn't finish MC in hopes to finish the quest chain this week. I did the attunement for BWL, then ran that and got 3 elementium ore, and had to buy the remainder in the a/h. I'm still short 2 ores, but in the end, I'm gonna be out another 7-8k.

I seriously cannot believe the luck of that. I geared 3 toons through MC and BWL back in the day, and we never saw any bindings drop. This was my 3rd run through MC on this team.

I updated my BWL guide with a trick I use a few hours a week... figured it would help some people out If you need a lot of elementium ore... then it will greatly help you
