    Default Serious Frame-rate Issues

I 5-box on an I-7 920 with 12 gigs of DDR Corsair ram using two video cards--A GTX9800 and a a GTX 275. All of my drivers are up to date. I have no malware.

Normally I run with the main capped at 60 and the alts capped at 30 and I only get a little bit of slow down in Dalaran, going to around 45 or 40 on the main. I took a month or two break from the game and when I came back I'm having these FPS issues--It will run fine and then all of a sudden everyone goes to ~20 fps. It'll last for sometimes 5 seconds and sometimes for hours, regardless if I log out and/or reset my computer or not.

I disabled all addons and it still does it. My CPU and RAM usage is normal. I'm not overheating the CPU.

I literally have no clue why it's doing this. Suggestions?

just a suggestion here. My wife was having the same issue on her comp and she just plays solo. We rolled back the latest video driver and everything was peachy.

Interesting. I'll give it a try. I've played with a bunch of settings and narrowed it down to something with the video cards I think.

    That didn't fix anything. Grrr.

It's now at the point where it isn't ever good FPS. It's always sitting at 20.

Edit: I also cleaned out the fan on the processor and all the case fans too. I have no idea where to go from here.

Further Edit: I'm now almost 100% certain it has something to do with running each monitor on a different video card. If I don't do any swaps from one screen to another I'm fine. Hmmm. Interesting.

I plugged both monitors into the same video card and the problem is fixed.

Now my only problem is that the GTX 275 that I have only has one HDMI out--The other is the regular blue one. Now I need to go buy a converter I guess. Sigh.

At least the problem is solved. I'm really not sure why this was an all-of-a-sudden thing. Maybe just a combination of different driver sets, updates in ISBoxer, etc. Who knows?

The only ways I have heard of to use two video cards are Windows 7 or Innerspace. If those are an option, play with those.
RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor
    MultiBoxers play with themselves

I have been using Windows 7 for awhile with no hitch.

In any case problem solved: I plugged both into the GTX 275 and it's all better now. Better FPS even
