    Default What's your fps?

Alright... so i was wondering what is your fps set to.

I just wanted to know because i wanted to optimize my fps settings for the best performance.

I am currently running on i7 extreme 9gb ram and nividia 250gts 1gb

    i am running 5 clients on 1 computer (2monitors)

and as of now i have it set to Maxfbg: 15fps and Max: 50.

    So what are your settings?
I want to try other fps settings but don't really want to play around with the settings for too long.

*include your computer specs. *# of clients and performance.

    Thanks

    Default

    i7 930 OC'd to 4GHz
    12GB G.Skill DDR3-2000
    GTX 480 Superclocked @ stock
    80GB SSD (WoW installed)

I run 60/30 fps. I dropped all my alts down to the slider position that is 1 notch above "Low". Turned off shadows and lighting effects.

I then cranked up my main window to 1 notch below "Ultra". Other than that I turn off the death effects because it bugs me.

Everything is running as silky smooth as if I'm playing with a solo toon. Main window rarely drops below 50 frames, but I haven't gotten this team/rig to Dalaran yet. But in Ironforge at peak times it's not choppy at all.

How did you manage to get 9GB or RAM?

I've seen the boutiques do that with 3x2 + 3x1. Supported but not recommended. My dad was going to buy a Gateway with that config, but I pushed him to just go 12GB.

I don't tile (all in full screen and flip between the screens) so I set 10fps for the back and 30fps for the front, with 7 clients all at the lowest settings. Your computer is better then mine, and you are running fewer clients so you should do better. I run full effects on another computer that just runs one client.

Yeah i had all my clients running on the 3rd "notch" from low and it was running smoothly but at times it was choppy. I think i might lower my settings a bit and just crank up my mains window.
    Thanks for your input.

oh and @ Fenril i meant to put 8gb

    Default

    amd phenom x2 1055t @ 3.2ghz
    8GB RAM
    radeon 4890 1GB video card
    intel x25-m SSD

I have 60FPS on my main client and background clients set to 20max fps

The only time I don't get this is in dalaran when it's busy, my main may drop to 25-30fps but doesn't cause any lag.

I've been toying with the idea of getting a newer video card but they really aren't worth it since I'm still maxing out my fps and I don't have any lag... why spend the money?

EDIT: I run my main window at ultra settings and my other windows at "low" with the "draw distance" @ max.

Make sure you put antialiasing at x1. anything higher will just destroy your video performance unless you've got a super gpu
