Default Choppy video on inactive window

I've been running 2 client on the same box for a week or two with no problems. One at 1680x1050 and the other, on monitor 2 at 1360x768.

I had been using addons like tiptac, bartender, etc; the stuff I've been using for years with no problems. Until: I decided to try a complete UI that set's EVERYTHING with lua. It changed all the video and sounds settings, and more. I ended up getting rid of that primarily because I didn't want to edit lua whenever I wanted to make a change. I did all of my experimenting with that on one toon with one client running (playing my main to get a couple badges for heirloom gear).

Now that I'm back to db-ing, whenever the main client window (1680x1050) goes inactive, the video gets very choppy. I could swear that it wasnt like this before but I can't figure out what's causing it. The secondary client (1360x768) doesn't get choppy when it's inactive. I've tried disabling every addon and setting every single video setting to it's lowest value. This happens with the main client window whether I'm running a second client or not.

Nothing has changed on my computer outside of wow. In fact, I've even stopped seeding torrents to make sure it's wasn't that :P Maybe I'll restart them to see if wow performs better under a little bandwidth pressure :P

Did you backup all of your WOW UI settings for both accounts before you tried that last UI? Sounds like it may have messed with something. If you didn't back them up before try doing so now and then resetting everything back to default to see how it runs.

It first helps to know what program you're using to multibox; and second, go look in your config.wtf file and look for something along the lines of:
    Code:
    SET maxfpsbk
Then change it to a higher value.

Well, I thought I had already tried deleting my wtf and addons folder before posting here for help but I must have only deleted the addons folder. The problem turned out to be the config.wtf file like you suggested Fenril. I haven't gone through it to see what the exact problem was yet, I just deleted and started over.
