    Default Done my homework but still have a few questions

    ok so far i have taken the time to write a program to send keys to all copys of WoW running(yes i wrote my own)

    also i have configured it, and i plan on writing macros like this
    Code:
    //target player1
    /assist
    /cast wrath
    /p casting wrath
    although i dont plan on making druids for ranged DPS it was first skill that came to mind, and i do the party chat that way its all showing up on my main what the other charectors are doing-

    I plan on running 3 charectors, 2 of which will be ranged DPS and one will be healer// ranged DPS after duel spec

    Does anyone know much about 3 shamans? as it would be easyest to run 3 of the same class, plus im thinking as shamans can wear mail they might be the way to go as max def for a caster

    and any suggestions on instances? Think i was would be able to heal party plus run both ranged DPS - obviouslly at this point i would loose spamming in chat what my charectors where casting,

    i really just need suggestions on what three charectors would work good together, and if healer + ranged DPS sounds like a good idea,

    or even Tank + two ranged DPS

    Edit i checked the sticky but all links are dead

    depends what your goals are.

    3 shamans work well, they have good dps and are easy to set up.
    If you try and do only dps you'll have long dungeon queues. 2dps+1heal will be much quicker, and is very viable with 3 shaman as well, but you'll definitely need a couple more players to do instances correctly.

    If you want to do something a bit challenging, then maybe do a full tank+dps+healer group.
    maybe a paladin + 2 shaman, or something like that.

    all instances at lower levels are fun to do, just use the Looking for group tool and you'll be ported there as soon as you can.
    Most of the fights in those instances are very simple, and can be done with not much hassle

    What im looking for tho, would be like solo, for somepart, but id like the option of instances to

    ya well i really only want to play two charectors, as i really dont want that chalenging, i figure if i roll 3 shamans, i can have two ranged DPS(both with the exact same lay out) so then im just healing and doing dmg, instead of trying to run all 3 charectors, and i also plan to make the one thats the healer, duel stated to DPS aswell, that way if im playing with my friend who heals i only have to worry about one roll

    what i want is to only have to watch one screen am i able to use this for all my damage on my two dps while im healing with the third like
    Code:
    /target alkamino
    /assist
    /cast _________
    is this gonna work? or im i going to need to physcially point and click for area of effect casts?

    That is going to get SERIOUSLY annoying. It can also become inaccurate as chat lines don't care if the spell goes off or not. You start spamming the key, you're going to get line upon line of "[Slave] : Casting Wrath" scrolling through the chat window a dozen times, even if it only actually goes off once because of cast time, global cooldown, etc or not at all because of dead targets, silences, facing the wrong way, still casting something else etc. You are far better off configuring your main to show party cast bars.

    Also, /target player1 isn't correct, you'd need /target party1.

    is this gonna work? or im i going to need to physcially point and click for area of effect casts?
    Any cast that has a targetting requirement will still require you to place the targetting {Warlock's Rain of Fire, Mage's Blizzard, Hunter's Volley...}

    Instead of the chatspam, get an addon that has party castbars. So you can just monitor those in a blink. I use Pitbull and like it a lot.

    For classes it comes down to what you like.

    Shaman are best for pvp(tremor to counter fear) and are very basic, the steady choice that can't fail really.

    Druids have a big advantage that if you wanted, you could spec 1 feral and tank at lvl 80 if you ever wanted so. Healing with hots is something you must like. Boomkins are very strong at the moment at level 80, so for pure dps they'll be good aswell.

    i have no intrest in PVP, well i mean i do, but not multiboxing, i want this purely to dungeon and to farm, and to have fun with, right now im running arround with 4 shamans killing things, i have decided to go with a 5 charector team,

    now its just deciding if it will be 5 druids or 5 shamans, shaman seams to be the way to go, due to mail and shield,

    or even 4 shamans and a pally, i could play the pally as the tank and spam skills to my healer and three ranged DPS , the only part of that that seams a mystery to me is finding a way to let the 4 shamans fall back while i tank,

    also was reading that having 4 shamans spaming chain lightning and one resto is a good set up

    so at this point im looking at a 5 man team, but still not 100% on what 5 charectors to roll, as my 5th account will be inactive for 90 days as of 2 days from now i have a few days to figure it out, that way i can get a free month on one of my accounts by using the scroll on it

    ----Edit

    below is a list of random things im trying to find out, most of which ill prolly answer myself, but if anyone wants to throw there point of view and shed some light on them would be great

    also other things im currently reading up on, is stuff like looting corpses, im thinking it might be best to set the 4 alt accounts to pass loot, but at the same time, if theres a quest key or something all 5 charectors will need to pick it up, will i have to physically change screens and pick everything up myself

    and for quests, for the ones that are sharable is there a way to get the alt accounts to auto accept these quests when i share them?

    and the final thing is, right now if all of my toons die, only the main has the option to release spirit, the other 3 just sit there dead, i have to log in and out to go back to the graveyard, is there a simple macro i can write for this?

    I think that if you pass on loot you can still loot quest items. Looting is fastest done by Interact with target. Enable click to move in the mouse option in interface and they will run to the corpse you want to loot when you IWT(interact with target). Just click it several times if it's a Qitem that drops for all chars at once, like a head from a boss or so.

    For quests, get Jamba, in the addons forum.

    For both ressing and accepting a lot of other stuff:

    /script AcceptGroup();
    /script AcceptQuest();
    /script AcceptTrade();
    /script RetrieveCorpse();
    /script RepopMe();
    /script ConfirmAcceptQuest();
    /script StaticPopup_Hide("PARTY_INVITE");
    /script StaticPopup_Hide("QUEST_ACCEPT");
    /run ConfirmReadyCheck(1);

    The best macro ever, or atleast the idea. Might be an even better version.

    that sounds great ill check out that add on, but for the IWT - i get how to change in interface to click to move, but am i able to do something like this for the 4 ALT accounts
    Code:
    /target (main)
    /assist
    /(then a command to interact
    as i could set them to auto loot, if that makes scense)

    or am i going to need to overlay my mouse? to all 5 screens?

    the interact with target cannot be assigned to a macro. However you can keybind it so if you make "g" your IwT keybind you would run above macro on say keybind "f" and press f, then g. That's what I do anyway.

    With ISboxer you can though,

    You can first let them FTL assist the wowwindow you're currently playing (the "main" for that moment) and broadcast a key in the same "keymap". Then you bind the broadcasted key to IWT in the wow keybindings and you're good to go. Pretty awesome.

    That way they do assist the main and Interact With the Target.
