Default Shadow Priest in healing gear

    Hi all,
so a simple question, I have a disc priest at 5k GS which I want to dps with (have my new warrior on an account with one of my dps toons and so need to slot in another dps from another account).
Will the dps hit be huge on a priest with healing gear vs dps gear? My other option would be a resto druid as a boomkin?
I just want some extra dps so that I can gear my new warrior tank in in a few heroics, most likely just up to 4k GS to get him out of mostly blues :P
    Thanks for any advice.

Heroics. prolly not. but raid content yes. Healing gear tends to lack hit. If you cant hit the boss, you cant dps. You will prolly be short some dps with itemization favoring mp5 and spi. vs haste and spell pen.

At least you don't need spell pen for PvE, and spriests need a little less hit than other caster dps due to their talents.
But yeah, get enough hit to be capped/near cap taking talents and misery debuff into account, and you'll be good.
Should only take a few pieces at a decent level of gear.
It is easier to heal in dps gear than to dps in healing gear.
I'm going to live forever, or die trying.

Spriest are pretty good on hit with talents. Get to 12% hit and you will never miss again, if you are draeni you can be 11% (for bosses).
