Noob Question about macros

Hello Everyone,

I have been attempting to tweak my macros to improve the DPS on a couple of my toons. After reading through the wiki, a question has jumped into my brain that I need to have answered.

In several of the macros, after the spell is placed, there are several commas and then a space then more commas.

What is the purpose of having the space between the commas ? Is it just a placeholder, to keep track of how many commas have been used ?

From what I recall, it's just spacing for easy counting. But the forum also inserts spaces every 50 commas, so if they were copied from the forum, it'll have spaces, too.
