Zomg Los I hate you! and by hate I mean love because your video pointed out a HUGE oversight on my part. I didn't think Nazan's fire could be absorbed by the grounding totems so I wasn't even putting them down (nub). So yesterday morning I ran in there at 62, focused on keeping them down, and owned Nazan for the first time! Was cake!

    Thanks!

Great work! One quick question, what is the addon that pops up to show your spells are off cooldown?

This fight was big problems for my 5x ele shamans. Tried it at 60, 62 and just got toasted by Nazan's firebreath. I eventually beat it at 64 -- but only after using a cheap trick I ran across on the forum.

I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but I found it really helpful and probably would have had to wait till I had access to Earth Elementals or a tank to complete it.

The trick is to pull the first two mobs (that start the event) at the bottom of the ramp all the way to the top of the ramp with your main character. Have the other four guys waiting at the top of the ramp with totems or whatever; if you run too far with your main the 2 mobs your pulling will reset. Pull them just far enough to get everyone in lightning bolt range. Once you take them out you'll notice that only Nazan is aggroed. Vazruden isn't, he just waits in the middle of the platform for you to attack him. Don't, just dps Nazan.

Drop grounding totems and get away from them. Nazan will fire blast the grounding totems but the AOE damage can still get you (which is why I didn't think they worked here at first). DPS Nazan and at about 30% he will land. Trigger trinkets, elemental mastery, or whatever you have in your bag of tricks, and go all out. Hopefully he dies before you. If he doesn't you might have to reset the instance and start all over again -- not sure about this though.

The funny part is Vazruden will still be standing in the middle of the platform after you kill Nazan. Just finish him off whenever your ready. I was able to finally complete the 2 Ramparts quests and even loot the chest (I figured it would have bugged out or whatever, but it was fine)... I Wonder if this method works for the heroic mode?

Never had any probs tanking this on my 61 warrior or druid. It would be a difficult fight boxing it though, getting the group to move out of the flames.

I 4-boxed this instance with 4 shaman quite a bit while leveling, all the way up to 69. Great xp and quick run. No tank necessary for this entire instance really, stoneclaw totems do the trick usually, although an earth elemental makes the 1st boss fight cake.

Just noticed a previous posted already suggested this... but yeah, for the last boss, I added this note to the wiki:

"As an alternative, easier approach to the last boss - simply stand at the top of the ramp far away from the area where the rider lands. Spread your guys out, bring one guy down and aggro the two guards and pull them to the top of the ramp. Zerg them down up there. When the rider lands, if you are far back enough, he will not aggro. At this point, you can walk down to the circle area, keep to the edge to avoid aggroing the rider, and dps the dragon from the sky. At 20% the dragon will come down and you need to zerg him fast. Once you are done, rez/drink/etc, then kill off the rider. It is a million times easier to do each separately."

I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design, but this fight is a messy pain for low 60s if you don't do it this way.

OMG, I almost wished I was in a PUG tonight.

Decided to go in and give ramps a run with my team, MT was at 6khp's buffed and ~7.5k armour, everyone else was over 4k hp's buffed so figured it wouldn't be easy since would be at least even con with all mobs but also didn't think it would be the ass-rape it turned in to.

TWO hours for me to clear to Watchkeeper, 9 wipes and all of them but two were to the four pull after beastmaster where there are 2 casters + Destroyer + Hungerer. I just couldn't get the casters to get close enough to be poly'd by my mages before I was destroyed by the lack of healing the Destroyer's MS causes and not able to use concecrate to keep multiple agro since it would break the sheep of the casters and then bring even more pain on me with rain of fire.

I kept at it to watchkeeper, 1-shotted him (yay for leather bracers that got sharded), but I just don't know how to deal with that fourpull apart from burning down down one mob, wiping and then do it as a three-pull. Pulls with one caster were ok, the pulls with 2 melee and 2 dogs were fine as well...hell, even the 4 pull befoe beastmaster with the 3 casters around the one melee was doable (not sure how, but managed to) so I'm guessing I just have to wait until I get another level or 2, or better gear, before going back unless there are some suggestions for how to od it with my group makeup but I thought my makeup would make for easier instance runs than 4/5 shaman.

    Two words: counterspell

Actually, I sheeped that damn Destroyers and always left them for last. I would aggro with the Pally and just run miles away to get the casters in range for dps.

    I've just finished doing Ramparts,

    60 pala
    60 h priest
    60 f mage
    60 des lock
    60 s priest

First boss was easy, dots then nuke.. when healers were going to heal i aoe silenced, he then died.. and i finished off the healers.

The demon guy was hard until i realised the curse aura was an ACTUAL curse.. and not matter how far i was from the boss it didn't matter! so once i realised i could decurse it I killed him easily... though i did manage to kill him before, after losing my casters to the aura.. my healer and paladin took down the last 150k life!

Dragon.. got it sussed now. Casters all in a pile and I set my arrow keys to strafe left right / move fwd backward, Then I keep an eye on them and move them out flames.. whilst i constantly heal paladin tank and nuke! Keep my tank moving around the dragon most of the time, so not to stay in hot spots.

    No problems with trash.
