Default prob with a dps ftl key

Ok i made a copy of one of the dps ftl keys and i am trying to make it so i can get my priest to wand if press alt 1,

The macro on the priest is
    /cast [mod:alt] !shoot
I read ! in front of shoot makes it start but not stop using the wand anyway if i am on the priest and i hold alt it changes the icon to show the wand and will wand if there is a mob targeted.
in isboxer i did copy of a prev dps ftl key
and just changed the keypress to Alt+1
    step 1 is
    actions
do ftl assist me in general key map > self ; which is same as all other dps ftl keys
ALT+1 > Window:all w/current only thing i changed here from prev one is the keybind to send
    as the target and keybind
yet in game it will not use Alt+ 1 on the priest not sure if it uses it on any toon other then main as no one else is setup to use alt+1 atm.

Any ideas why it might not be sending this combo?

I do have preist set to use clique to heal using alt left and right click and just left and right click without the alt but that shouldn't stop it from working should it?

If it's configured like you just said, and it's in a Key map that is assigned to your Character Set, and the Hold option is NOT enabled for the mapped key, and you Exported (from ISBoxer), it is definitely sending Alt+1.

It could otherwise be related instead to the macro itself? Not sure. You could just put /cast !shoot on an action bar and assign that action bar button to Alt+1 in WoW, should work fine.

hi lax and thanks might try that. Its def been exported from isboxer. The macro seems to work fine from the priests window just not from other toon as leader. Only really tried with tank as leader though.

I will try the alt+1 on a hotbar and see if that works thanks. Will let you know if it does or not.

that works that way lax thanks. Btw would having a step that only applies to certain chars/groups and having it set to execute a step when hotkey is pressed or released maybe make it press same step 2 times if char is not in the list that has second step?
Wondering if that is why it wasn't working as i had used ualaa's guide and made the melee part ie his
do melee iwt thing. you think that could have been making it do same step 2 times meaning that !shoot is just a toggle not an on like startattack is.
I just noticed i had removed the step and noticed that on the way you told me to try he was starting to cast on press and stopped on release because i had forgot to remove the execute on press and release but had removed the iwt thing from it thinking it maybe caused problems.
I guess what i need to know is if i set execute on press and release and there are 2 steps but only one that applies to my chars atm will it fire first one twice?

Hehe hope that wasn't to confusing above

The mapped key, just knows how many Steps it has. IE, what it does on each sequential input. So if your mapped key has three steps, it will do A then B then C. You can set it to "On Release (default)" or "On Press or Release" and it won't matter really. The order is still A then B then C.

    If you have all toons:
    Step 1: Jump
    Step 3: Strafe Left

    But only one toon:
    Step 2: Sit

On the first step, they all Jump.
On the second step, one toon sits, but nothing happens for the others even though there is a step for the mapped key.
On the third step, they all Strafe.

Most of the toons receive actions on the first and third input, and do nothing on the second. One toon does something on all three inputs.

Hmm i tried it again today after restarting clients and all and my orig way works now. Weird but i guess maybe just sometimes need a restart to make certain things work .

Also on the step thing with press or release it will do same step 2 times if only one step but i was wondering about if 2 steps but only some chars would use second step would it still do 2 steps for them chars that don't use second one in my case above ie if i press same step 2 times it would start and stop shooting wand Anyway its working now was just curious how that part worked for future ref.

Thanks for the help on this and thanks ualaa for great guide. A bit hard to understand some parts of it esp I think it was the formation thing but i did figure it out. didn't add all things from your guide but a lot of them. New to isboxer as i was using hotkeynet before this but wanted to give this a try since sounded so good esp from your posts on it etc
