    Default Adobe Premiere Issues

So i just made a new video and recorded it with Fraps using full screen and 29.97FPS for my settings. When I put it into premiere and exported it as a 720p video (1280x720), there was this black border around the whole video that wasn't there before. What gives? Did I mess something up? I used the same settings (as far as I know, I checked) as my last 2 videos I uploaded.

    Heres the video:

What is your full screen resolution?

It sounds like you didn't specify that the export would stretch your current resolution to the larger resolution. Instead, it just added a black backgroup to your current project. Honestly, you shouldn't play with resolutions that weren't native to the import process if you follow generation loss fanatics unless you are reducing resolution. You will get your "filled screen" effect anyway when you max the youtube viewer anyway. :P
Wondering what now will be the new pew pew class....

Make sure your in game resolution setting is set as high as you want the recording to be.

My in game res and the recording res were both at 1920x1080 (widescreen), I thought that if I reduced the size during the export that it would increase the overall quality. Do I need to record at half-screen?

I would have just exported at 1080p to give you the best quality that you already recorded the video in.

I tried that but as you can sEe from my other videos, when I exported it in 1080 it Gave the text a choppy look to it. How do I fix that?

Watching your Scholomance video in 1080p popped out so I can view it full screen and I can read the text in your chat window. It's not as clear as it would be in game but neither is the entire video. I cannot directly compare my Premiere results to yours because my 1080p video had a custom anamorphic resolution and it kinda squished my WoW window messing with my in game font. I do not have much more insight in Premiere as I think I'm going to stick with Vegas for editing as I find it much, much easier. I'll keep using Adobe After Effects for super sexy special effects though.

Well, I asked because I want to make videos like TotalHalibut who have their text almost crystal clear on youtube. How do they do that? :P
