Just wondering.... cause it would make PVP a whole lot easier.

it is the same... but you have to understanding where your clones are when you start to rotate/move them.
imagine each clone is a boat on the water... each has a heading... you eyeball it the best you can, pointing them all in the same direction. clone A has a heading of 30.23 degrees.. while clone B has a heading of 30.02 degrees. not exactly the same. then you start moving. sure, at first everything is good.. but the longer they go without sync'ing up... the more out of line they become from each other.
in the end... you use the /follow for all of your long runs... but when in close, you can do a limited amount of direct key based movements.

Been just playing around in cities puting on a show for people when im about to log for the night and I was doing lots of random movement (straffing/turning/running around) getting used to how I can turn them all at once and what direction they would be facing. Ive gotten rather good at it too atleast in general practice. The key is the starting point, all chars must be facing the same way at the start or you will end up with the boat problem keyclone mentioned, they will eventually get WAY out of whack if you are not paying attention and it is often only 1 or 2 of them.

I haven't tried this, but in theory, could you enter and leave a BG with both toons and then set the wasdeq keys to work and the toons will not drift apart because they will have been ported to the exact same location facing the same direction when you leave the BG. I'm not sure if this is possible, but I'm gonna go try it. :-P
I'm not sure what you'd prove with that, other than "when you go through a portal, all characters are set to face in exactly the same direction".
Did I miss something?
Well once they are facing the same direction in the same exact locaction, could you use the movement keys (with keyclone) at the same time, making your characters move in complete sync. If they are facing the exact same direction and moving together, you could forget the /follow macro all together, right? This is a potential fix to the problem keyclone brought up in an earlier reply to this thread. I want to try it, but the servers are down atm making it a little difficult.
that would work in theory but not in practice because it would be so painfuly inconvenient to do. The way i mentioned above keeps them very much in sync. In fact I used the alt movement keys to run my group in an X formation across about half of TB without things getting out of sync. I just dont do it in normal PVE because it servers no purpose. I dont understand what would be inconvient about it? Everytime you log on queue up for a BG and leave (assuming you don't care about the deserter debuff, and your chars would be set up on top of each other for the rest of the play time. Hearthing might work the same way but I'm not sure.
uhh because it is?Originally Posted by 'Poolstick',index.php?page=Thread&postID=30184#pos t30184

So just go to the portal for Ragefire Chasm (or Stockades for alliance) and zone in/out there. Same effect without the pain-in-the-ass of Q'ing for BGs.
