    Default team switching

If i want to change a few members in a team.. and they are on same accounts that are loaded in, can i log to char select screen, hit launch team from isboxer? will that work? or do i have to log all the way out and back in?

Yes, it is designed to work for you to do that from character selection

What is the best way to switch only 1 member from a team?

My situation is a druid + 4 melee team named melee and I would like to interchange the druid with my DK from my team named DKsham for arena games.

I have added the DK to my melee action group list for IWT actions but because IS still thinks I have the druid running, a lot of the FTL macros that are generated using the druid's name don't work for the DK. What's the easiest way around this or do I need to create a new team setup in Isboxer that has the DK and the 4 melee and switch to this?

Having two teams is probably the least painful way. Otherwise you have to keep swapping characters in one of the slots and re-exporting etc.

It's not like extra teams chew up licences or anything

It works the same way. Go to the character screen and right-click on IS and load the character configuration that you want. This is the one with the one toon you are changing in place of the one you are dropping and the others the same. Once it loads (your screens will flicker a bit) just log in with the toons that are in the team you just loaded. I do this a lot as I 10 box but have 12 (or maybe 13) 80s I swap in a and out situationally.

side question, but not completely unrelated.
If say you play your druid team for an hour, and them decide to play your mage team.
Do you need to exit all 5 wows competely and relaunch the new team in ISBoxer? (and therefore put the pwd and authenticators again etc)

Or is there a way for ISBoxer to know which window corresponds to which toon of the mage team.
not sure since windows are named with the original toon name in their title etc.

If you have the same characters in different slots, ISBoxer will figure that out and you won't need to restart those clients. You will need to force a reload on all toons to get the ISBoxer addon to load the correct configs though.

Tried this tonight and had 1 issue with it. For some reason I decided to have 1 tank character on each account and I tend to play the tank as my main. As such I always put it in slot 1. This means that if I swap teams on the fly, my main character is generally in a slot other than slot 1 and the ftl system I use doesn't seem to adapt. If I press my ftl follow key with my slot 1 window active, my toons try to follow my tank which is on one of the other slots. If I do it from the tanks window then one of the other toons is followed.

I guess the easy solution to this is to actually set up each of my slots with a consistent account rather than setting them up with a consistent character, but wondering if there is any other way around it or if I have just set up ftl in a strange way?

    Cheers

Are you using the IsBoxer generated FTL? IsBoxer would have known which slot each character was in an used the correct FTL. Unless your IsBoxer addon didn't update properly in which case a "/console reloadui" should fix it.

It is always a good idea to have /console reloadui keymap/macroed for all your teams (send to all windows) to a common key for fast and easy 5x ui reloading.

Note: From what I understand 'Joe Multiboxer' is going to correct alot of these nuisance problems.
