If you kill something, it means it's dead and you should no longer worry about your survivability. The faster you kill it, the less survivability you need. So burst does matter a lot for melee teams. If you run towards casters, you want them dead from the first try. Any slow, fear, cc, ... will require you to regroup and give them time to nuke you. Unless you go with protadins & heavy healers, where the build is centered around outlasting the opponent. Don't underestimate to factor in the importance of death grip on round robin, which makes that you don't need to run towards ranged every 12 (3dk) / 9 seconds, and which can even be glyphed
