SC2 would not disappoint. Campaign is long and fun. Multi player is very competitive. Once sucked in, it will keep you busy for a few months. Playing with friends is a lot of fun.

    all that, for free.

It is not all about the twitchy game play reflex and stuff (Warcraft 3). There are a lot of macro, strategies, and tricks.

If you kill something, it means it's dead and you should no longer worry about your survivability. The faster you kill it, the less survivability you need. So burst does matter a lot for melee teams. If you run towards casters, you want them dead from the first try. Any slow, fear, cc, ... will require you to regroup and give them time to nuke you. Unless you go with protadins & heavy healers, where the build is centered around outlasting the opponent. Don't underestimate to factor in the importance of death grip on round robin, which makes that you don't need to run towards ranged every 12 (3dk) / 9 seconds, and which can even be glyphed

For arena you'd need to go frost i think on the dks. The thing is if you run into 4v5 and you are still getting heals your 4 burst + heal > 4 burst.

Frost dk as it CURRENTLY stands on live servers is a lot of fun, a LOT. I think Any spec is good for dks, but frost is the most fun given that the sheer amount of control you have over opponents. You get chill blains, free cost interrupts, lichborne for fear breaking, deathgrips(you can even spec into unholy for reduced cooldown on dg) hungering cold spam, howling blasts frost strikes pewpewpew. I have often just kited people to death running big circles around them lol its a lot of fun. Currently you can still spec into blood tree far enough to get all the two hander talents AND rune tap/imp rune tap. Although this is going away in cataclysm, right now its very strong with glyph if you get your team in the same group its a BIG party heal every 30 seconds, coupled with all the control, if you get in trouble start kiting/cc and heal up then zerg back in. Fun times indeed!

As for the "frost BOOM spec" lol wtf are you talking about :P I've been playing my dks since wotlk release and i've never heard of a frost boom spec ! :P lolol

Thats a lie, frost dual wield before was OP as hell for pve, PVP wise the only nerf was that frost strike nolonger is a 100% chance to hit no matter what.
