Default What teams are you going to run in cata?

Well i figured i would stay out of PVE as much as i could and with some of the changes to shadow priests and the damage output they can have while moving it is absolutely rediculous as well as their self healing while doing damage is pretty damn high. A silence for dealing with ranged, a disarm for dealing with melee, a fear... fear ward... It's pretty impressive with a healer imo.

It seems Dk/Rets will nolonger work though i really really wanted to believe it was as i've been talking to some of the GM's in my guild who are friendly with some of the design staff it seems that the way they are suppose to be played is not going to be multi-box friendly.

It seems also that 4x dk + healer could be a decent comp if they are unholy or frost but that would take a bit of getting use to.

4x shaman + X is always going to work and it looks like it will be pretty decent.

Boomkins look promising but we'll have to see.

But as of right now my plans for cata are these groups.

4x shadow priest + resto healer friend
4x shaman + pallu healer friend
Warrior, DK x 2, Enhance shaman + priest healer friend
Possibly 4x dk + healer friend depending on how much damage they do.
4x locks might be interesting but i'm not sure if i'd enjoy playing it.

The changes to shadow priests for the amount of mana regen and damage makes me very interested.

    Unless it fails miserably:

PvE: 4 disc priests + druid tank
PvP: either 4 holy priests, 4 disc priests, or 5 of each

The moonkins are ready to go so if the priests fail then I may just go 5 moonkins in PvP

I am in a raiding guild and with 10 mans giving the same loot as 25 normals, pve will be pretty damn easy for gear since I dont box PvE anymore.

I will continue boxing 2s/3s in cata- DK/double healer, double ELE/priest(mostly pally lately) healer. I also play warlock/ele in 2s is just so boxer faceroll with succubus. Been trying out Ret/enhancement in 2s and damn its fun. With all healers getting dispel in cata, well its going to be alot of fun.

I am scouting out the best place to aoe lvl in cata but I am keeping quiet on that.

Fat Tire how high are you getting in your 2v2 with them combo's ? lol and on topic I will be using

    Team 1

    Warlock. DPS
    Shaman. DPS
    Pally. Tank
    Druid. Heals
    Priest. DPS

If priest fails at dps will swap with a mage.

Well I do pretty decent, I have 2200 weapons on my shamans pally/priest and my dk would have his but I use pve weapon atm. umm in 2s my mmr is 2100ish I think. Just started ret/enhancement so I pretty much suck, but its fun. I am doing alot of skirmishes to get my movement down and trying to figure out my CC rotation. I just target and tunnel the squishes first no need for switching.

I only have 1 level 80 team, so I will be using my 5 paladin team.

Theres a quest mob that right now gives you a SHITTON of exp, and you can drop the quest and get it and re-kill. This will likely be fixed but i got from 81-83 in about 2 hours with it. It will work up to 85 but if you are realm first using this method you will likely be banned.

As for AOE grinding, for single toons especially shadow priests and warlocks there are quite a few good areas

My current team that I will likely use for Cata is Paladin, Mage, Lock, Priest, Shaman as 4x Caster DPS and Hpal heals with PvP being the main interest. For PvE stuff I will probably have the Paladin tanking and the priest healing.
