Default How has the Naga been?

Just wondering how the Razor Naga has been performing?

I am looking for a mouse to replace my MX 1000(which I love...but is starting to fall apart) on my home computer. I also have a MX Revolution at work. I really like both, but both is out of production and Logitech's current equivalint does not have as many buttons. Never had a MS mouse, and not sure if I want to go that route, but now Im thinking about the Naga.

So, is the Naga worth it? The pictures of the Naga make it look long. Is it that long? Or is that just a distortion of the picture? I just want my 5 year old to be able to move the mouse like she does on my MX1000.

Aso, how hard is it to get used to the majority of the buttons being used by your thumb......instead of spread out kind of evenly(but not as many buttons) between the thumb and fingers like Logitech's mice?

I just bought it a few days ago.
    Here are my thoughts

    Negative:
Recessed mouse 1 and 2 buttons
    A bit small
    A bit too low profile
The scroll wheel doesn't tilt left or right
mouse 4 and 5 are in a position I find almost impossible to use

    Positives:
it has 12 mouse buttons on the side
The side buttons are very easy to access and are not easy to accidental click
Comes with very nice software to control lighting, speed etc...
You can assign any buttons to any key
You can assign any buttons to a macro that you create, including timed macros
The macros work without having to mess with ISBoxer
I put the mouse on a 3 ring binder (So it inclines it) and helps the mouse feel a bit better

The good news is that I'm still using it. I tried it for a day, stopped using it, then actually wanted to go back to it.

This is a frikkin brilliant idea. My desk is too high {or my chair is too low, depending on your point of view} so my mouse is on a phonebook on an end table This would work much nicer than trying to keep myself from suicide by papercut as well as giving me better positioning.

In the beginning, I really had hard time to adjust myself to use this "light-weight" mouse (Note: yes, very light, and I feel the cable comes with it is heavier than the mouse): the biggest problem for me is that the mouse is over sensitive in a bad way - if i click on right/left mouse button, the cursor will move...ya it sucks. Sometime, even I don't touch the mouse, the cursor moves too because the mouse slightly moves on my "unnoticeable unbalanced desk". Pretty hard for me to get used to it, but I've managed to get used to it after-all. Ya,..a lot of wrist practices and steady hand exercises.
Beside that problem, I absolutely love this mouse. Especially, after I mastered to control all my slaves' movement with the side buttons, I can't live without it in my boxing life.

I used it for a while, but about a month ago I decided it just wasnt worth it. I used a g5 before and went back to it afterwards. I bought the naga for a certain purpose @arena1,2,3 casts and it worked pretty well. However, I found after tweaking my buttons on my keyboard a bit and then also dropping the N52te that I used since I started boxing I was much better off overall. It was easier to memorize the all keybinds this way and it turned out that I was much faster hitting the keys.

I now utilize shift and ctrl modifers on the keyboard that I didnt or didnt want to incorporate on the n52 or the naga. Plus for me the naga is just too small.

I thought the naga was pretty cool, but I do alot of mouselook-360 jumping and it was cramping my style.

I've had it since it first came out. I originally bought it to play Aion, but I don't play that game anymore. When I first got it, I worried about how fragile the keys looked and felt. After almost a year, I Absolutely love the Naga. I wouldn't go back to using another mouse for gaming. For me it made PvP a ton easier. However, It wasn't the easiest mouse to get used to.

It took me about a month (with training tabs on) to get used to it. My forearm would be so tired after using it for extended game play. But now my thumb just instictively knows where to go, and my forearm doesn't hurt anymore. I don't get lost much because of the raised tabs on the keys. I've been wanting to try completely driving with it... i.e. w,a,s,d, strafe, camera, turns... etc., but I've yet to muster the stones to go through the re-training.

I trained by setting up the "Naga Bars" exactly like my N52 and naga keys. Each keypress had a visual representation on my UI. I made the bars small so they don't take up much space, but large enough to where I can still see them. Then I would place a spell or macro icon on the bar that coincides with the buttons on the Naga and N52. I was able to figure out what types of spells worked well on the mouse this way.

I use the naga to drop totems, call out my pets, drain life, drain soul, blink, purge... etc (multiple toons, multiple classes...obviously). I do agree that M4 and M5 are in a bad location ( I think E.T. was the beta tester). So I just use them mainly for Auto-Run and Shapeshifting on my druid. The mouse wheel is a bit clicky too, I only use it to scroll through my buffs.

I think completely committing to it is the key to making this mouse work for you. I gave away my other mice to family and friends. So it was make it work or buy a new mouse.

I love mine. I switched from a G5, where I had mouse tilt left and right set to control and alt. Since my thumb rests on the "1" key I use it for control, 2 for IWT on all, and 3 for alt. 11 and 12 seem to be easy to find, so I use those for repeater on/off and a 5 step key map/repeater on/off. I'm sure I'll use some more but I haven't found a need for them yet.

I cut, shaped and superglued an eraser on top of the 2 buttons next to left click. superglued the round trainers for 7 8 9. stack 3 rectangular trainers for 10, 11 , 12. Press 10 11 12 with the back of my thumb.

I never though i would go back to a wired mouse. Love it more than my Logitec mouse.
