Default What goes well with a pally?

I'm thinking of coming back again now that I have an 80 pally to help speed things up. Which classes should I do? Shamans seem to be the popular choice, so doubt I'll do them.

Depends on what you want to do. Focusing on pvp or pve group?

    PvE mainly.

I've never done a priest as a healer, so should I try that in the group or what?

I have a mixed caster group, leveled them right at the launch of WOTLK and my idea was to have the most buffs/debuffs for casters.

Ranged classes typically have an easier time dpsing as they don't have to worry about melee range or attacking from behind a mob for parry/block etc.

My priest healer is in the tier 9 badge gear and easily heals everything so far (up to 10 man TOC regular) but it is more about what you would get enjoyment from.

I tried hunters and got them to 65ish but they didn't seem as much fun to me, too many "proc based" abilities instead of just dps macro spam and nuke stuff.

Everyone's opinion is going to differ but the reason a lot of people play shammies (I played them through Burning Crusade) is that they have great synergy and they can all heal in a pinch, they do great dps and having multiples of them means you have more buffs available.

Lol you want to know what people are playing with a pally? But you say you doubt you'll play shaman cause thats what everyone is doing?

Are you wanting the hardest team? A team no one else has?

I can understand the desire to be creative and try something a little different, but the reason so many players have those group compositions is because they work WELL. You can make almost any kind of group setup work, but it may also be very challenging and might not have the same synergy and dps as a 5 shaman or 5 pally team.
My advice is to try anything you'd like, if and when you get them to 60 you'll know whether or not that team will be fun for you. (probably a lot sooner though!)

Pally is the cookie cutter multi-box tank.

Pally goes well with any class.

    I love my Pally.
