Default My first day of Dualboxing

    Heya guys,

I just started duel boxing today, i'm pretty tech savvy so it wasn't that hard to get it set up (1 pc & 1 laptop(contected to another monitor next to my pc) & synergy.

so after today i got a few questions & things to share i'd love to get some feedback on.

    1. i mapped my numlock keys (1-9) to my 2nd account (the follower). i got a mouse for him but i don't need that all the time
    2. i got a mage(10)/warlock(12) combo. great dps... got my voidreaver now. works nicely.
    3. it took me a pretty time to get the lock & mage up a few lv's before dual boxing (low lv's are useless anyway). it took me 7 (yes 7) hours of play time (this includes: messing arround, setting things up, learning macro's, learning new area(never did the undead quests), warlock voidreaver quest)

so yeh i'm wondering... how 'bad' is 7 hours for a lv 10 mage and 12 warlock. including all the learning/macro-ing
and does anyone have any advice on my set up..

also i've got problems focusing on the followers (lock) gear... havn't checked it in levels.

oh well thats about it. any advice, comments,... are welcome

7 hours would normally be a little slow (not hugely), but taking into account the things you mentioned, especially the macros and setups I'd say it's about normal

Try and keep the gear on both updated as best you can, check out quest rewards for their level and do those chains, run instances (might mean pugs) if you can, or just get greens "...of the eagle" from the AH. The mage might benefit more from "...of the owl" gear though for regen, but the lock could use the stamina/int from "...of the eagle"

If you're short on cash for em, take mining/skinning on the mage, and herbs on the lock and just sell everything, saving cloth for tailoring on both of them once you hit 70ish, and keep first aid up to date on both to help with downtime
