Then your macros will still work..

My macro is basically the same as yours, but with a little different setup

/target [@toon1,nodead][@toon2,nodead][@toon3,nodead][@toon4,nodead][@toon1]
/follow
/focus
/assist

and then all the slaves use [@focustarget] in their cast macros.

The above macro makes sure that a living character is the controlling one at all times, and is perfect both for PVE and PVP (I do WG a lot) and allows for fast switching of master by simply moving your mouse to the next living toon in a specific order (In my case it's Master (main screen), then the 4 slaves on the 2nd screen in order top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right.
The /assist I have in there as a utility, for instance if I want to ress someone with a slave, just target with master, hit the button and then hit the hotkey for that slave's ress etc etc..

As long as you use the characters names, they do not have to be grouped up with eachother. In fact, I often end up in two different raids, and 5 separate groups when I go to WG, but it makes absolutely no difference, other than annoyance for not having a good overview over health etc, but Jamba takes care of that for me.

Edit: Why the /clearfocus at the start of your macro? if your slaves currently have a focus target, they will simply switch to the new one when ordered..
