    Default Another 1800 team

After getting destroyed by Palee (Firstcow) in av on my main shammys, I decided to take a look and redo all my macros as his team looked so fluid and effortless. I was very close to shelving the team as I just couldn't seem to play them with any sort of consistency. A few weeks ago, I wasn't using click macros and got to around a 1700 season high, but would continually get beat back down into the 1500s. After making the switch to click macros, my rating has been climbing very steady the past couple weeks and I finally pushed 1800 last night. I definitely feel like I can keep pushing higher as well. A quick thanks to Firstcow to giving me some new inspiration to continue with the team.

Here's a screenshot of my team, and I want to get some opinions as i decided to do something different and get a mix of weapons on them. I haven't enchanted or gemmed them yet, so I can still switch them out, but I'm really leaning towards this look:

Oh yah, and this is team #2 for me to hit 1800 with. Here's my shammys early in the season when they hit it. Sadly, I haven't been able to get past 1946 on them:

Man, I hated to see those guys in arena when I was on my 4x shamans, lol. Congrats!

grats zappy, that's definitely an accomplishment. I think I might have to switch to click macro's also, i think my castsequence loses a lot of dps when eveyone's feared or cc'd for a bit and they do the crappy attacks instead of judgments and such after the cc ends.
mind posting your click for me by chance?

I don't have them in front of me, but if I recall, they are pretty simple:

    1. Judgement
    2. Crusader Strike
    3. Divine Storm
    4. Exorcism
    5. Hammer of Wrath

The big key I found was having Crusader strike right before Divine Storm as when my guys got split up or I switch targets, I'd find my Divine storm going off and not hitting anyone. With the click macro, Divine Storm won't go off until after crusader strike, so I'm almost always guaranteed to hit someone with it this way.

I also tied my rocket gloves to either step 3 or 4. I used to do it manually, but I found putting it into the sequence makes a lot more use of it and normally my first target gets hit the hardest.

My DK uses his frost and unholy runes in his click macro, but saves the blood for heals. At first, I wasn't convinced I could put his in a reasonable cast sequence, but it seems to work decent.

I must add, it feels pretty stupid doing arena and getting up to 1800 by doing very little more than mashing my "123" keys and occasionally clicking a new target. 1 = click macro, 2=assist leader, 3=interract with target.

The other thing I've noticed since switching to this setup is that my guys seem to run around the targets a lot more. No clue why that would be, but it seems to work great in arenas against range classes.

I also did some test dummies before and after and saw ~3k to 3.5k ds on them. Afterwards I was seeing 5 to 6 - that's without concecretion and wings. I don't understand what would make that much of a difference against test dummies?! Anybody else experience this or understand the logic here?

There was a long thread about castsequence vs. click several months back but I thought we found that it only mattered when your rotation didn't have downtime, the downtime in your rotation (like for pallies) should suck up the latency loss in castsequence. So no idea why you'd see a dps increase, i'll have to check it out. It does help the burst though because if a couple toons get off in their cast sequence, the burst hits at seperate times which isn't good.

As much as it pains me to agree with shodokan, he is right. If you have access and they are available a large number of Pve weapons are really good for melee. In fact the pve off pieces and trinkets are also insane for melee in pvp.

Unless I am mistaken and this was another 1800/2000 self glorifying post.
