I think another factor about the negative comments is that some people can't handle other people playing differently from them. It's a sign of immaturity - "This person is doing something that has literally no impact on me, but it is different than what I do, so it must be bad."

Actually, you'll see that a lot in real life... "You spend your money on this? You're an idiot." "You like/don't like that? You're an idiot." It comes from having too much of an ego investment in one's choices - one of the hallmarks of immaturity.

So just don't waste time I do have a keybind that says or replies, "Multiboxing is an acceptable use according to Blizzard. If you wish, fill out a ticket and they will take whatever action they feel is necessary" and then don't give them another thought.

Today I met a real jerk. I helped him kill a 5-man boss and do you think he said thank you?
No, instead he accused me of botting and reported me! He also added me very quickly on his ignore list so I had no chance trying to explain this was multiboxing, not bots.

About being reported, does a GM even bother with these kind of reports? Has anyone here been contacted recently for being reported of this? And when being falsely reported like this, will the person who reported get any kind of reply from a GM so he/she will know they were wrong?

a GM probably eventually check your accounts, see that the names are all the same, and moves on to the next ticket.

They'll check the names on the accounts and probably observe you play for a little while to determine it's multiboxing, not botting. The GM might actually contact you via /w, but in my experience, that's pretty rare. GMs do not discuss any action or lackthereof that they take on someone else's account.

Not to worry, I'm sure they'll go whine on the forums when they see you still running around, then they'll get schooled.

One thing you might want to do is post a ticket yourself stating that you're a multiboxer and ask that they put a note of it on your accounts. It can be helpful for GMs who get tickets on you later. But multiboxing these days is common enough that most GMs can dismiss it from botting rather easily.

The "note of it on your accounts" you mention, is that a note only GMs will see or where exactly is this noted?
