Reinstall on new SSD or no?
I was wondering if it would be better to uninstall Keyclone from my OS hard drive then reinstall it onto my new SSD I just put into my laptop that I'm now running WoW from. Would it run fast as well or would there be any change at all? Plus, to uninstall, where is the .exe file for that? It's not in the folder and I can't uninstall it from the Control Panel option.
All an SSD does is adjust the load time of whatever software. From what I understand about keyclone, I don't think it will change anything. Personally, I just have my OS on an SSD for initial boot time. Makes the computer T-T-T-T-TUUURRRRBBBOOOOO boot.
But if you have the room, it might help, yah never know.
Copy the complete World of Warcraft folder, the copy process will do the de-fragmenting on the fly. open the main folder to find wow.exe (or launcher.exe) and make a shortcut. All the main files are there; repair.exe and I think there is a uninstall.Originally Posted by lans83

He's asking about Keyclone's folder not WoW's folder.
There is no uninstall, you just copy and paste the folder wherever you want it. Seeing as Keyclone, or any multiboxing software for that matter, takes up close to zero computer resources. Something that has no loading time cannot get any faster. By moving it to your SSD there should be no difference, I mean, how much quicker can you broadcast a keystroke?

Thanks Ugh and Fen. And yes Al, I was talkin about putting Keyclone on the SSD. I've already put WoW on in. Went through that whole pain stacking reinstall. Turns out I one of my WotLK dvds were a bad copy. I ended up grabbing one of my slave copies I picked up later instead of the original for my main. And yes, I have noticed a slight increase in performance so far. Just wish like hell I could upgrade my video card and cpu for my laptop now. 4 copies on 2 cores can cause some bottlenecks.
I was running 5 copies on 2 cores (2ghz cores) with 4GB of RAM and aside from having to turn down the graphic settings it worked fine (just looked like shit)
maybe mess with turning off things on your "main" and obviously put the slaves down to "low" settings
I've had everything turned down completely on every setting across every account except for the view distance set to max on main and Projected Textures to see AoE spells on the ground on main, off on slaves. All of them have V-Sync turned off, and the Hardware Cursor turned on, if that's off, they all lag on popping off spells. Reduce Input lag drags them down further, so those are the only things turned on. I even go into the Task manager and turn off as much as I can to free up more memory. I think my main problem now is the fact I'm tryin to run 3 off of the second core and my main and the OS off the main core. I tried to put 2 on each, one slave on the same with my main, but then my main started to drag ass, even in the low populated areas. All three slaves at that point ran smoothly tho. Been thinkin about dropping one of them for a while anyway, but will all of the slaves once Cata comes out cause of $$ issues. I won't be able to get it for all of them right away and want to solo it first. Not sure if it's cause of the new drive I put into my system, but I soloed my main for a couple weeks using the LFD tool to farm for Emblems, and had just about every setting maxed out to see how it looked, Shadows was still off tho. My FPS managed to top 120 at points, and I was in shock. Never seen it top 62, so I enjoyed that for a bit.
