I just dropped my pally tank in front of 4 shamans and am really glad I did. Still working on getting geared up, though. One shaman is spec'd restro. I just do PVE with them. If I get bored with this team I might just take my druids and spec a tank and a healer. I always wanted to do that. But I like my totems and chain heal!

My shamans are horribly undergeared but I find I can beat some bosses I couldn't with my pallies and at the same time bosses I can't beat now with my shamans. My dps was lower with pallies but they were much more resilient. Right now with my shamans I can't beat the first boss in forge of souls in heroic because i can't one shot that floaty thingy. Need more dps.

Pallys are getting a complete and total overhaul, I think the only thing I've seen in beta that hasn't changed too much is prot. Its still waaaaaaay too early to make any assumptions of how they will be. However that fact may be truer than most there is something that won't change much: pallys will still have high dmg output art of war and divine storm/healing hands. This makes for a solid team makeup and very resilient as the passive healing will still be very very strong. They/blizzard have stated that they want the dmg to feel more predictable and healing will be more reactive than proactive. This is super for us boxers as we'll be that much better at it due to the mechanics and how things work

Now how mana and regen and what not will work is another story and we'll have to wait a few more weeks but I think pallys will still be good. Repentance +hoj will be strong for cc as it will be needed, as much instancing as I've seen it will be lol

If you still want to stick with shammys they're gettin some nice tools too, and so are druids, which I myself plan to finish leveling because of how much fun I've had just solo in the beta with mine.

Also, a tank 3 frost dk and a shaman or ret will make a good team in cataclysm too, with some newer tools to make them work a little better. I ran in wotlk for a long time with feral tank 3 dks and it was a blast, always pugged a heals but it was effective.

Also keep in mind the racials are also due to get a semi complete overhaul, so pick a race based off how they look or how you want the team to work for you buy remember that the racials, while handy now, MIGHT be very different later

    Ps - welcome back!

I think people thought I was crazy for leveling so many classes. I have 35 at level 80 and dks at 77. I really want to break my druids back out! Might do that soon.

Tank the boss a bit away from the shamans so you have time to react when it spawns, target it, and spam spells at it while kiting the boss until the floaty thing dies.
Hit follow key in middle of room when soul storm thing happens, keep staggered tremors down, keep hitting follow when someone gets feared and keep dpsing. Rinse and repeat until dead.

Well, I reactivated my 5 accounts last night and after upgrading all my mods I hopped on my lvl 72 shammy group on Mag. It took a bit to get re-acquainted with my old setup but I managed to work some rust out and build on the muscle memory.

While in Dragon Blight I got my butt handed to me by a 80 warrior in what looks like high end pvp gear (I'm still out of touch on identifying gear). That spinning attack is just evil.

PvP servers feel a bit like a nuisance to me right now so I think I will roll a group on a PvE server. I just want to take my time and enjoy old Azeroth before she changes into a ripped garment.

I enjoy playing on Skywall US (PvE).
Rather limited as far as other boxers here goes atm, but I am very established and not going anywhere, and can help other boxers who would like to start a team here.
