    Default priest + 4 warlocks

I have boosted a team up to 60 with RAF and will now start questing in outlands. Planning to focus all the warlocks on the demonology talent tree so pets can be used to hold aggro. Which pet is best suited for tanking, the void walker or the felguard? Should I have more than one tank pet (in case one dies), or four different kind of pets?

For instances or quests? For quests it doesn't matter... all I do with my locks is run around dotting everything in sight. Lifetap, holy nova, keep going. Fastest grinding team I've ever had.

without a doubt. You just dot and run, the felguards kill everything. Pallys you have to get in melee range. The only thing that slows you down is looting.

I'm only talking about levleing... I'm sure pallys are better at lots of stuff (like dungeons for example)

If you taunt something it's basically dead on a 5 paladin team =P

In dungeons, which pet setup is recommended with four warlocks?
My plan with this group is questing and doing normal mode dungeons.

I would use 4 voids on bosses and 4 felguards on trash. Hopefully by the time the boss kills the 4th void, you'll kill the boss. I don't think you'll be very successful in the level 80 dungeons, though, unless you outgear the instance. Good luck!

While I'm leveling my disc priest/4 locks for PvP, here's my PvE (i.e., questing) strat. I use 2 voids, a dog, and an imp. The only thing the dog does is counter spell when needed. The dog and imp are on passive, and the 2 voids are on defensive. All locks are affliction, with the one with the dog having improved felhunter, and the 2 with voids have points in the demo talent that heals your pet. The one with the imp has improved imp. Then, do like Owl said, run around dotting everything in sight, whether they're quest mobs or not.

My team is sitting at 72 and since they got seed of corruption...holy jeez. Round up as many mobs with the two voids as possible and start throwing 5 seeds on about 3 different mobs and watch the fireworks.

The only thing about not having an actual tank is you're going to have some issues until you get some gear, since they really nerfed pet's tanking (from what I understand, I could be incorrect.)

Compared to a hunter's bear how is the void walker at tanking?
And is the void a better tank than a felguard?

im trying a 5 lock team atm, currently only lvl72. feels a little twitchy at times in wotlk instances, but crappy gear and incomplete talent build dont help.
I have found felgaurds the best pets all round for instances, cleave seems to do a much better job at gathering aggro than the void ae taunts, plus the damage of the fg's is quite impressive and they seem to bounce aggro around between them nicely, works well most times, but they do go down if they remain the focus of several elite mobs at once. If youre feeling lazy then they can dismantle a group of elites on thier own fairly fast with healthfunnel keeping them alive and no offensive spells from the locks. On harder stuff its worth running 1 void for the 13% hit debuff from the ae taunt.
Its a fun group anyway, lots of potential, the real challenge will be heroics and the icc5 stuff, cant wait
