Last time we tried boxing Illidari council, we had no strat, and just couldnt hurt them, but they werent hurting us either, then we started just Aoeing them all together and I think that worked. Its a joke at 80 tank HP and 80 healing levels.

Illidari Council is still something you need to be careful with as it can wipe lvl 80 raids if you don't understand the encounter.
Basically you need to keep them all separated as they heal each other up, like the Twin Emps in AQ40. However, also like the Twin Emps, they share a health pool. This makes the fight easy as we can separate the mobs out to avoid healling, but only need to focus fire on one mob. You can go balls out on, for example, the priest, and burn her down.
1. Separate mobs so they do not heal each other up
2. Mobs share health pool so you have the option of focus fire on one mob or splitting DPS.
3. The priest must have someone/some people (rogue, warrior, shaman, etc.) on her that can interrupt the heals. MUST!
I can see council being boxable as if you have a tank, your group can focus on your target and be effective because of the shared health pool. We need some solo players as well to handle that priest.
I think most of the boxing players are used to round robin wind shear and or counter spell setups, though I don't know what sort of range. Even on my little guys I find interrupting almost any spell a mob casts hilarious with counterspell, wind shears, and silences on the team. Obviously its a dps dump to do that, but doing Less-rabi stuff is pretty trivial for most people's teams.
Since so many people use isboxer i am sure they don't use focus, so setting her up even without manual macro wouldn't be hard. Just like purging the shield on the priest... can the seals be purged and dampen magic be purged or stolen?
This.
I think we had 4 boxers and a few solos that run. Maybe only three boxers.
Anyway, we just brute forced the encounter - focusing the majority of the DPS on the healer and just waited for her to run out of mana if I remember correctly. Took a lot of chain heals with everyone loosely stacked up.

You need a tank on the rogue as well, cause he'll stun the tank and drop aggro and run off, and he'll periodically vanish. Just have everyone prepared to drop chain heals and such.
