I think from what ive seen from cata beta videos, is that phasing isnt when u move through a zone, it moves around you. We will have to wait and see how a party is affected by the phasing changes.

I think that is an artifact of entire zones being phased. I'd bet money they haven't changed the fundamentals of phasing such that transition state lag is eliminated as the only people affected by it are multiboxers and people trying to chase down that flying rogue that ganked them a few minutes ago on Chillmaw. Not enough for them to even consider it something that needs attention, IMO.

While I doubt the issue will be resolved, it doesn't only affect multiboxers...

When a single player hits the phasing in Icecrown the mobs can take quite some time to 'appear'... meaning if you're on the ground you can agro a pack before you can even see it. Not something Blizzard will probably address, but still a annoyance for single players.

Fair enough, though I can't recall any spots where phasing lag actually caused me unwanted aggro while I was leveling or still using ground mounts.

If larger areas are phased instead of having to cross like 3-5 boundaries all right next to each other (like that area between Malykriss and the front of ICC...holy shit what a PITA), that would definitely make things much easier.

If you're talkin about that gate between the BBC mounts and the dragons flying, and giants roaming, then yes, I've had lag aggro here a couple times. After that, I've learned to fly much higher up over the dragons, then just do BBC last and hearth out once done. I have noticed on my main team tho, the ones I've run in IC more than any other, that the more times I fly/ride through these phase crossovers, the less often my slaves break follow. Used to be, they'd break follow everytime I fly over the pit by the north of ICC while flying to the ships to turn in quests. Now, they don't one bit. That gate still does it once in a while, but not often. Depends on how bad my server lag is I guess.
