My noob question about arena PvP is can I, with 519 points a week, get some of the harder to get items on my pvp team? A 251 pvp ring is much better than a 200 PvE one :/ Rings, trinkets and neck pieces suck on all of my 80s, with one or two exceptions.
Most of the stuff that u buy with arena points requires an arena rating, with the exception of the Relentless Set items. You can convert arena points into honor points (100 arena points = 2000 honor points i believe) and some of the Wrathful 264 stuff is available. U can buy that stuff in stormwind/orgrimmar.

I wasn't expecting to actually WIN any of the matches, but I have to admit I was rather impressed with the expediency of some teams to dismantle my poor nooblets....lol

My thoughts exactly! I started doing 3's with the intention of losing all games. It is amazing how fast some teams can obliterate you. Within 15 seconds everyone is face down in the dirt.

However, you may get a miracle and win a game or two. I managed to kill the same team twice last night - two druids and a rogue. I think they were confused about who to attack and wtf was I doing. They never attacked me as a group only one on one with their tree spamming hots. It was very satisfying to see a win once in a blue moon.

You couldnt have picked a harder 3s team to play? ;p

Seriously gotta be hard to play that.

Thru hundreds of games and trial and error I have done pretty well in 2s/3s(dont expect a gloat post from me), for really one reason.

Yeah not an ideal comp to say the least. It was thrown together out of necessity. I only have 4 80's and these 3 were the most geared The shammy is the only one i want to get the arena points with. The others are simply bait.
