    Default EQ2 multiboxing allowed?

I'm taking a break from WoW and I was thinking to try EQ2 multiboxing.

I've read all the threads regarding if multiboxing is allowed or not in EQ2 and the latest posts seem to be from players who said thy are currently doing it and they are not running into any issues with policy.

Is this still the case? Can we multibox EQ2?

Side question, are there macros in EQ2 like in WoW? How do you assist/follow with the slaves on the main char?

Just because people are breaking the rules without getting caught doesn't mean the rules are invalid. You may not send simultaneous keystrokes to multiple instances of EQ2.

The only valid means of multiboxing in EQ2 is by sending one input at a time to each individual instance. IE, the alt-tab method.

Thanks, I guess that makes it clear to me that I won't start playing EQ2.

Setting up round robin processing of the keystrokes works well enough in eq2.

1 keystroke per game action is not that hard to work with, the ability queuing system allows each keystroke to cast one spell abilities/keystroke and queue the next.

You want both your healers to cast a heal on tank just have to hit the heal key twice instead of once. First ketstroke throws a heal from healer 1 and second keystroke throws a heal from healer 2.

This still fits within their guidelines and I have managed to 6 box almost all SF instances.

Still sounds like a pain. I don't want to put more stress on my fingers and wrists by having to spam more keys than necessary.

What I don't get is, why is it OK that 6 different people can use their skills at the same time, but one person with 6 characters cannot? SOE is stupid, period. They aren't getting my money.

I have to agree there (not that I was ever going to multibox EQ), it sounds like the distinction they're drawing is very arbitrary (and not much effective at any rate either).
