Dit always tried to get other people from the guild involved but frankly no one wants to do shit. We are Zerg 2.0 one of the largest guilds on the server and no one ever wants to do a damn thing. So now that dit is dead I won't be remaining in the guild even though I was one of the original members.

Fur said it best, its a small army - with no general to lead it, and no mission to accomplish.

Until we determine a mission and assign some generals, this is where we stand.

That's not to say the guild isn't active. We're definitely active. We just lack the motivation to do things and that's mainly because of the kind of guild we are. We're a multiboxing guild where people want to do their own thing and hang with other boxers. There's nothing in the world wrong with that. Being in this guild you have to come to terms with that. Things have been like this since before I even came here.

This guild is one of the most interesting creatures I have ever seen.

All bark and no bite. Very few times did anyone leads raids when I wasn't available - then I left and no one picked up the torch. Svper lead his own crew, so if you weren't into progression solo raiding, you weren't involved.

Its like everyone liked the idea of raiding with boxers, but no one dared to lead it. It is truly unfortunate.

I do blame the LFG system a bit though - 232 gear became daily loot that got sharded, so "PuG" raiding became a joke. And the gearscore mod (and achievements to some degree) which ruined a large chunk of WoW. Talk about social segregation and discrimination.

Achievements - instead of badges of honor to be worn proudly instantly became the new heroic / raid keying lockout system.

Blizzard built a great game - but they really are their own worst enemy.

I remember a few times we were trying to get people to join raids, and it seemed that nobody wanted to single box a raid. I can see wanting to get all of their toons badges/achievements/loot, but cutting edge raid progression is tough as it is, and boxing brings additional complexity to the situation. Taking ones own time to set up macros for an encounter is one thing, but in a group setting, people tend to get antsy and bore easily. That is why I think 10 boxers have a slight advantage over groups trying to synchronize multiple boxers.

Maybe to clear the bad taste some may have in their mouth, we should eschew the DiT name for cataclysm, and just call it the single box raid team. The people in the lineup will be changing anyway.

I wouldn't hold your breath for that Dave.

Cataclysm is supposed to bring the "LFG" system for 10 man raids. And with the way they are redoing raid lockouts (so you can join another lockout ID as long as the number of boss kills match) - I think you're going to see a new era of pugging.

Why wait for raid night when you can just LFG into a PuG? Oh, killed one boss but had to leave? No worries, just LFG into another raid that matches your progression point. Oh, that one fails too? Call it a night and LFG tomorrow.

Seriously, if they do what they claimed they are going to do.

And another thing that bears mentioning is that DiT can be replaced with any name, but the people that aren't in that group will feel excluded no matter what the circumstances. It's just the nature of the beast. It happened in dodge ball when you were the last person picked, it will always happen when ever there is an order or a limit to the people that can be included in an event. Now I'm not saying I think it's wrong or right, just pointing out that people will likely feel excluded no matter what.

Yeah i remember making a big push for raiding and even though I had to lead raids on my schedule there wasn't much interest from even enough people to do 10 mans at that point (pre-DiT)
