Default Keyclone Keymaps, what am I missing?

This is a great piece of software, I enjoy using it immensely. I think I've mastered the "basics", and am now ready to try out keymaps.

I'm using a 5 box shaman setup, and can't get my keymap to work. I'll describe what I'm doing as carefully as I know how, so perhaps it will be clear what I'm missing or not doing correctly.

Goal: Keymap macro that causes 2 shaman to cast healing wave on the target.

I've already confirmed that the macro on the two target machines works fine if triggered the old fashioned way (i.e. using the mouse on that machine to click it). On the target machines this macro is bound to the key SHIFT+5.

On my main PC, I do the following.

    1. Go to setup
    2. Select keymap editor
    3. Type in "Shaman HW x2" for description
    4. Type in "SHIFT+1" in the <key> field
    5. Type in "HWx2" in hotstring field
    6. Click on add
    7. Click on save

I then move to the target PC

    1. Go to keyclone setup
    2. Select keymap editor
    3. Type in "Shaman HW x2" for description
    4. Type "SHIFT+5" in the <key> field
    5. Type in "HWx2" in hotstring field
    6. Click on add
    7. Click on save

I then move to the main PC, I hit SHIFT+1, and nothing happens.

    Other questions

I know the keymap functionality has been described as a matrix -- but on the keyclone keymaper editor menu on the target machines, the direciton of the arrows is always the same direction (i.e. key >> hotstring), shouldn't it be the other way for the target machine (i.e. key << hotstring ), since that's the direction of the translation?

Thank you very much for any help

I'm not sure if this is part of the problem, but perhaps it is.

When I am in the keymap editor, I do the following:

    1. Hit load
    2. Select the appropriate keymap file
    3. Click OK to load the keymap
    4. Click OK on the keymap editor dialog - this puts me back at the keyclone main dialogue menu.
    5. If I hit the keymap editor again, then there are *NO* keymaps displayed.

Does that mean that a keymap isn't loaded anymore?

    Thank you

I'm having this exact problem, or I'm just totally lost. I'm only trying to run a two toons.

I'm trying to make it so that when I hit SHIFT + {somekey} in my main region, it gets translated to SHIFT + {same key} in the other but does nothing in the main region itself.

I tried setting up a keymap for main.kci contained key: LSHIFT + Z / hotstring: 'follow', then in slave.kcl LSHIFT + Z / hotstring 'follow'. I assigned the two keymaps to the appropriate regions, but it does nothing.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.
